Cirrus SR22 SoCal to San Felipe Mexico for the First Time
I decided it was time to do a proving run flight from KAJO Corona Airport to MMSF San Felipe Airport in Baja California and then return via KCXL Calexico Airport. These are some of the highlights of transitions that occurred with US ATC & Flight Service, MX ATC & Tower and other items that came up with this international crossing. Hopefully this info is helpful to other pilots looking to make the journey south of the border. Sorry, one of the camera's gave out on me during the flight. Thank you to Baja Bush Pilots for providing me with great information and tools to make this flight seamless. I'll be planning more Mexico flying trips soon!

Great extended view of cloud tops. Gorgeous. Good comms audio quality and discipline. Wish your cam was fixed mount instead of bobbing around on your head. And my perpetual appeal is not to add in all the music. It’s clutter that doesn’t add to the experience except with very judicious use.
Almost useless video. The instrument panel was swamped by the background glare during the approach. After breakout, the camera angle didn't show the runway until the last few seconds.

When you did the runup and leaning for best power, what exactly did you look for? Just max RPM, or something else?
@zacharynorman397 on the Cirrus SR22 NA engines, the max power fuel flow is listed on the instrument panel based upon specific MSL elevations. By setting the max power fuel flow to the MSL altitude you are at, it equates to max power for that particular elevation. Doing max RPM doesn't work in this plane because it has a constant speed propeller. Thank you for the question and hope this helps!

When i try to update the charts on EX5000 it fails and shows the following message: " cmax data failed to update, internal error 2" I have already tried to generate a cmax code on JDM but still not working..
When i try to update the charts on Avdyne flightmax it fails and shows error 2. what could be done to fix it ?
