I never would’ve thought of that!
Great tip
Your Sophie scarf is lovely. The heart is great to. I watch a lady that crochets, from Norway and she did a tour of her yarn, and weighed it! Holy moly, it was all over the house, under beds in closets etc. she had a lot. The cardigan is lovely.
Counting the number of skeins was stressful enough! Oh yeah I forgot the bag of yarn in the flip up sofa storage, I don’t know if it’s mine or my daughter’s. it was bought in 2016 when Lion Brand had a storefront in lower manhattan. I remember being there but I don’t remember whether bought and why. 😂
Great project! Lovely color too. You likely already know this but just incase this is something of interest to you or anyone here - there are actually a load of proper ways to tie different types of scarves, much like there are ways to tie a gentleman's tie. Different looks to fit your dress, style, and or necessity. Since you've put so much time and effort into making it, maybe looking those up will give you a further sense of pride and joy. ☺️ Cheers!
Thank you 😊 I will do some googling on different ways to tie this scarf.
That was also my first finished knit of 2025!! It was such a fun knit ❤ Love how yours turned out!
Looks so lovely! I think it can be a wonderful project for finishing some scrape yarn.
Wow amazing coyotes!! Are they ever close to you. I hope your kitties don’t go outside. The knee socks are cute. The pot holders are neat. See you next week! Thank you
@@vadec5909 cats not allowed outside unless we go with him, in the summer we sometimes get bobcats. My daughter claimed the potholders, that makes me happy.😃
These videos are amazing thank you!! :D please never stop
@@CharlieRoeder thank you 😊
Hi Belinda! You've inspired me to knit blanket slippers for my family this holiday. It's my first knitting project ever, and so I'm still learning all of the knitting lingo. I have purchased the pattern and watched the videos that you have linked, but I'm not too sure what "slipping first stitch of each row to make a neat edge" means, or how to approach that... is there any chance you would be able to explain it in a comment or make a quick demonstration of it? Super grateful for your videos regardless, you are an inspiration, thank you!!!
Is it really as simple as moving the first stitch from one needle to the other without doing anything to it? Do I slip the first stitch of my first ever row, or just subsequent rows? Sorry for the silly beginner questions!! I'm trying to do my own research but I know you're the expert haha
@@CharlieRoeder yes it is moving the stitch from one needle to the other without doing anything to it. Do this at the start of every row. It makes a neater edge because actually knitting the stitch leaves a little bump there. Thank you for the question and the future video idea, I would like to do more tutorials in the new year.
@@CharlieRoeder oh but not on the first ever row, you need to make that first stitch for the foundation row.
@@bmakingjoy amazing! One more question-I’ve done the knitted cast on where the first “stitch” is a slip knot. Then, when I do my first row using garter stitch, I am at the point where the slip knot is the last stitch on my left needle. When I follow the garter stitch: wrap ->
@@CharlieRoederI’m sorry it seems the end of your question cut off.
Your afghan is beautiful!! You have been busy to. Are you coming on Thurs.? I think the creases will come out. I really like the color of your cloak. Sophie is great to work on or socks or a hat. Love the cardigan!
@@vadec5909 thank you. Yes I’ll be at yarnies Thursday, I’ll bring the throw to show off.
Prague is a beautiful city. Your rooms were awesome. The hop on bus and boat tour were great. The butterfly exhibit was really interesting. I wondered if you saw the clock. We watched it chime.
@@vadec5909 we heard the clock chime just before we got there, so didn’t get to watch it. Yes Prague is a place I’d love to go back to.
Belinda I love the castle. It was a lovely tour! You did a great job. Wow your rooms were fabulous
Thank you, we had a great time. The only downside was how weird it was to drive on the other side of the road.
Great WIPs, Belinda! Can't wait to see your Milton cardi 😊
@@Knicoleknits thank you Nicole. 1st sleeve is done now, and the Herding Cats socks are complete with ends woven in and everything. I feel great about this.
Belinda your Wips are all great. I like the two at a time socks. I like the Estonian hat
@@vadec5909 thank you Val.
Great Pictures Belinda!! You got some beautiful yarns, the hat is lovely. Congratulations on your 25th anniversary.
Thank you! ❤
Exactly what I needed, thank you! Time to put my old jeans into a good use :D I`m just afraid the sewing cord would wear and tear over the time.
Hi! I l m encouraging you to go on with this wonderful hobby we have in common! A big hug from Paris, France , sis!❤🎉
@@sarahmeyers2865 thank you ❤️
Won’t see you at Ancient Arts Knitting group for a while so bon voyage! Look forward to hearing about your travels and seeing all your acquisitions.
What a fabulous trip you have coming up! I watch Fleece & Harmony so I’ve been hearing all about the Yarn Festival. It’s going to be fabulous. Ohh I think I’m jealous.
@@LynneKnits and I forgot to mention, I signed up for breakfast with the Fruity Knitting ladies, Andrea and Madelin
Love the sweater you’re wearing.
@@LynneKnits it’s the Love Note by Tin Can Knits, done in Lionbrand Pound of Love.
When it was october it was still sunny and warm lol
It still surprises me in Alberta we can get snow any month of the year, then go right back to sunny and warm.
Locations: Cascades of Time Gardens in the town of Banff, Johnston Canyon Cabins, Upper and Lower Falls Johnston Canyon in Banff National Park, and Takakkaw Falls in Yoho National Park.
Great video! I love your channel :)

I love this!
@@heidileopold7539 thank you!
Hi Belinda! I love the monkeys!! Your socks are lovely. Oh I really like both pairs. I like the two at a time socks! I like your cardigan. I really like your rannuclus. Norman of Nimble Needles is very good. It waits no hurry!
@@vadec5909 thanks Val. I did misinterpret Norman’s math and still have over 20 grams left, but I am very happy with the length I got, especially since it might stretch.
Hi Belinda nice to hear what’s going on. Your socks are lovely. I like the shawl pattern. I love the Kelowna yarn nice color! See you tomorrow!
@@vadec5909 thank you! Yes I will be there tomorrow. Now to decide which project to bring?
Lol... just realized I am on TH-cam so I am now subscribed!!! I clicked the bell so I will see all your posts ❤🎉
Awesome. I’m excited to share my journey with you.
Belinda, I love your video. Nice job on all the photos and the captioning. I'm really glad that you came along and that you had a great time. And you finished your sweater! And a shawl. Amazing. Love the photo of Jasper the Bear (with a scarf).
Thank you.
Belinda - This was a great video. Brought me Joy! What a fun time we all had in Edmonton and Jasper, and next time you need to stay an extra day to enjoy that great hotel room!
Aw thank you. I have no idea why I didn’t book an extra day.
I was glad to have met you on the 'excursion,' and I hope you are glad to know that you virtually went with me today to Phoenix, AZ on a trip to meet with far-flung cousins (Maine and Georgia). I was glad of your company, even w/o video. (I also do not remember the many features of that project bag! We'll have to go again, right?)
I love Phoenix, hope you had a great time.
Belinda the pullover is beautiful. Your trip sounds exhausting. I didn’t know the Calgary Shindig was on, so didn’t go. I love the color of your shawl too. I got the color of the month too.
Thank you. Yes I did very little for a few days afterwards. Have you decided what to make with your colour of the month?
Your quilt is amazing!!
Aw thank you. I am still making it up as I go, taking my time and enjoying every step.
for your daughter, have you tried anatomical toes? sorry if you have, i just found your account and haven’t seen other videos. i also have sensitive toes and prefer the anatomical decrease that decreases on one side. it makes it so the socks aren’t interchangeable on your feet but i’ve found them to be more comfortable.
I am new to sock knitting. I shall search for anatomical toes. Thank you 😊
Yes I can see the snowman, that’s going to be lovely! You are a great mom!! Thats excellent. I need sock blockers to!. You got wonderful Yarns! Lots of fun planned projects. Hope your better
Thanks Val
woaaaahhh that pokemon cloak is so cool!
Yeah I’m getting more and more amazed as I make my daughter’s vision come together.
OHHH WE CANT WAIT TO SEE YOUR FINISHED DESIGN...ITS LOVELY
Thank you 😊 Your yarn is so lovely to work with.
Hi Belinda! I love your channel name and the blanket on the back of your couch. Great colours! Your sweater will certainly keep you warm with the cold weather you have been having. I'm on the other side of the country in North eastern Quebec. Lots of sweater weather out here at the moment! Best wishes and happy knitting! (Margaret of My Wonderful Knitting Life)
Thank you for reaching out. It’s wonderful to find other Canadian podcasts. I shall now be binge watching your content 😊
