Ugggg.... Fluck gravel. My best ride this year was 116 flat miles on my 42+12 lb steel roadster with SA XL-RD5w. 8Hr31 moving, 11Hr15 clock. Wind aided by hundreds of tanker/ hopper/ lumber trucks. LOL. I have a big mirror, NO hellmet and ZERO fear riding on pretty good shoulders. Unlike 99.99% of you racers. I'm lucky if I see 2 guys on the highway. If I was in a peloton, I could likely go 20 mph as well. I'm 69.5 yo. 5 years ago on a 3,900 mile tour, I did Roger's Pass 98 miles/ 4650 feet el. I think it was 13 hours on my 120 lb Rohloff14 tour bike. LOL. Yah I walked a few miles too.

Whats a good time for a 40 year old on this 100 mile race

I was at this race. That headwind out of the west was brutal riding in to and the gravel was thick and loose. Thanks for posting
