This film is a tribute to the tiny communities along the fjord in the west coast of Norway. Bjørsvik, Molvik, Vikanes, and Eikefet. The boat "Oster" in the beginning is an old restored steam boat with tons of history carrying people and freight to an from Bergen.

This film was recorded in Ål municipality and Hardangervidda National Park during Christmas of 2020. Ål is located in south of Norway in the middle of Bergen and Oslo.

Isdalstø er et sted i Alver i Vestland fylke, og er postnavnet til kommunens administrasjonssenter Knarvik. Stedet ligger ca. 2 kilometer fra Knarvik. Isdalstø var før 1970-tallet et sentralt trafikknutepunkt i Nordhordland, med både ferge- og båtruter.

When my mother came to Norway in 1970 it was 5 houses in Knarvik. Now there are more than 5000 people living here. Knarvik is 39 km north of Bergen.
