WTF philanthropy for two surgeries of catarakt...i have two retine detachments in one month before two years with continious problems till today i ve done between five or six surgeries in one eye...my country and our health system doesnt pay for me until i was 9 years old i have glaucoma from my born with so many surgeries that i can t remember and all of my family money goes to doctors and hospital...but u know what still i believe that we have to find other way we live in fucking 2013!!!

Go to Codet Vision in Mexico. They will even pick you free of charge in San Diego. About $2000 per eye for standard cataract surgery. Maybe 3,000 for toric lenses if your level of astigmatism justifies it. Or you could get standard lenses and state-of-the-art LASIK ($1,000 )for final correction. You do NOT need $14,000 (unless you really need a vacation in Thailand...). I had the same problem and my insurance refused to pay. I had to find the money myself. I cannot recommend Codet enough.

I,m so sorry to hear about your problem. $6000 for one eye is extremely expensive. And quite honestly, it's not a very complicated procedure with a very high success rate everywhere. Unless there are circumstances that do not allow you to do so, maybe you should consider surgery outside the US. A round trip ticket and a surgery will cost you around $4000 in India. I'm sure with the $8000+ raised so far, you can have your surgery and a nice vacation in India. Wish you all the very best.
