Riding my Husqvarna TE 300 I dirt bike to Dragon Springs Stage Coach Stop. Dragoon Springs is an historic site in what is now Cochise County, Arizona, at an elevation of 4,925 feet. The name comes from a nearby natural spring, Dragoon Spring, to the south in the Dragoon Mountains at 5,148 feet.

2-Stroke vs 4-Stroke, Husqvarna TE 300 I vs KTM 500 exc-f. It is getting real!
มุมมอง 6K8 หลายเดือนก่อน
It is getting real now...The more I ride the 2-stroke the more I fall in love with it. I find that the Husqvarna and the KTM have their own purpose, their own likes and dislikes. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel and it's not the answer I was expecting.

DID I LOSE MY DRONE!!!!! I am starting to think it's all in my head. The Husqvarna te 300 i and the KTM exc 500 are different tools. The throttle response is different as well as the power delivery. I just need a little time to get use to the differences....I HOPE:)

FOUR-STROKE VS TWO-STROKE. Can a Four-Stroke fan fall in love with a Two-Stroke motorcycle.
มุมมอง 16911 หลายเดือนก่อน
The choice between a Four-Stroke (4-stroke) and a Two-Stroke (2-stroke) motorcycle depends on various factors, and there isn't a one-size-fits-all answer. Both types of engines have their advantages and disadvantages, and the decision should be based on your specific preferences, riding style, and needs. Join me in my 6 month journey into the Two-Stroke world and find out if will keep the Two-S...

Take the two stroke every day of the year
I bought a 24 KTM 250 XCW. Almost bought the street legal EXC-F. I made my 250 street legal. Took 3 months but worth it. 2 stroke is better for me.
One thing he’s pointing out that I’m familiar with is a massive vibration. It’s like hanging onto a big chainsaw the two strokes.
Nice track!!! Mid valves work wonders😎😎😎😎😎😎😎 Adventure on!!!!
How are you finding these rides? I am in SV would be interested to cruise some of the rides you have done.
Lived in coaches county for 24 years.Road rode on a dirt bike.Almost every mountain range every canyon clear to the galleros
Do you have a GPX of that loop you refer to in the video?
What drone is that?
Near SV?
Where is this exactly? Would love to check it out
I don't recognize it brother!
Awesome video.. I’ve been riding the KTM 500 for three years now and love the bike. Also just picked up 2024 Husky 300 tbi. Im excited to get back on a 2S, but I’m struggling to sell the 500.. the 500 does so many things well.. I need more time on the 300, just flashed the ECU and it rips now. I think I need both bikes 😂.. thanks for your videos!
Having owned both a 300tpi exc and 500exc its pretty clear. The 300 is the livelier, peppier relative, it's the most fun, but I live with the 500 because on tarmac liason it holds a constant throttle and on long or multi day trips the 300 felt like my head was inside a brass band instrument, 3x300 mile days and I was smashed on the 300😂
you can pry my 500 from my dead hands - truly and amazing machine, will do anything you ask it to
Never owned one, but wont a Rekluse auto-clutch take care of the engine braking?
The heaviest of the 'Best Dual Sport Bikes' clutch weight plates fixes the vibration plus sudden eng braking, also gives more control over logs
I have owned both these bikes and they are completely different. You can't really even compare them. 300 is light and flickable single-track bike. %00 is very powerful but way too much bike in the tight stuff. I just don't think a comparison is really viable. So different.
Which one is faster, 0-100?
IMO the #1 caveat to the KTM 500 is VIBRATION bars and pegs, as a dual sport bike I never looked forward to any asphalt riding over 30 miles. That said, not all manufactures have a vibrating 500cc model, the Beta and the Sherco 500's are quite a bit smoother, objectively less vibration. I might be off a year or so on the engine change KTM did 2017 or 18 but the earlier models noticeably with less vibration .
So the takeaway here is…no two bikes are exactly alike. Well done.
Vail, AZ KLR650 rider here. Nive vids. Love our riding areas.
This China Peak over by Klondyke?
Great to own a thoroughbred and a quarter horse they both have specific nuances that make them a joy in different riding situations.....enjoy
You are so very right.
What is your estimated fuel range on the Husqvarna?
So glad you had an improved ride this time!🎉
Two strokes for the dirt , four strokes for the street.
That’s how I am feeling:)
4 strokes for win 🤘 500 owner here 😅
@@RidingWithDomI do love my 500 but boy is the 300 fun🤣😂😂
My problem is I need the 4 stroke to get me to the dirt. Then I want it to become a 2 stroke. The more I ride the more I realize that bikes are all about compromise.
Make sure your sag is correct. I have the same bike, always felt like the front end would easily wash out, very loose feeling. I am kinda a light weight, I still had to crank down the preload to get the sag correct so you may need new springs. Still isn't as good as other bikes I've ridden but better. Two strokes are known to be a little twitchy.
I think this is a case of how aggressive you are. I am 65 and love 2 stroke engines, especially when the power band tries to rip your arms out. Roosting everywhere possible is super fun and expected from my 2 stroke 300 Beta. Also run a very low tire pressure to take the edge off the how rough it feels over those rocks. But watching you ride I think you may be a dual sport rider , needing a bike with 4 stroke predictability. You have a great bike there but it was made for a more aggressive rider……… At the speeds your riding you might as well sit down and enjoy the scenery.
Not to criticise but I'd say you are shifting too early, lugging too much. Two strokes like to be "on the pipe". Big one lunger's like 650 four strokes can be ridden with a tall gear but small two strokes hate that. At least that's my experience after 77 bikes.
Thanks. It is so hard to interpret advise, The Dirt Bike Channel says “lugging is traction”, and that the new tpi, tbi bikes are made to lug and don’t need to be rapped out all the time. Any thoughts on that?
I agree with Kenneth. RPMs too low. I prefer throttle control and feathering the rear brake for traction on 2 strokes. It does sound like you might be happier on a 4 stroke.
You need some time riding with others who can help you learn how to utilize the qualities of that bike. You are so tense and tentative and working so hard to keep the bike out of the power band…. You’re riding as if you’re afraid of an inevitable crash. You’re expelling so much energy holding on… I’m tired from just watching you. Your anxiety level is truly palpable. Please find a buddy to help you along… maybe a Xanax before going out…. Whew!
The terrain that you are taking the bike on is the main reason for your frustration, it is 4 stroke terrain, the Husky is a fine surgical tool that has a specific task that it is unparalleled in performance, if you take it outside of the zone of soft and hard enduro it is more of a burden to ride. It just might be the audio but it still sounds like you could ride it a gear higher for a smooth non jerky ride, shift less.
Thanks so much. I will give that a try.
@@ericmessinger1361 your just going to have to move to 2 Stroke country
Was thinking the exact opposite...........gear down for that small bore two stroke. They must be ridden "on the pipe".
Looks like fun brother!
How do you like the Acerbis headlight? Bright enough to trail ride at night? Looking at options for my 501, the stock light is pretty bad.
The gate on the first road, the power line road, was locked from the west side the last time I tried to ride it from Old Ranch Road. Is it locked on that east side as well?
