Who am I?
I am a scholar of English and Cultural Studies based in India. On this channel, I undertake the study of literary texts to debunk the specialised academic tradition and make the literary texts accessible to everyone.
Why Mistress?
Because why not? Mistress means a woman who is in a position of authority or who knows a subject well enough to educate others about it. The masculine word for this is Master, which doesn't signify anything contemptuous. A large number of people believe we need to do away with the terms like mistress, slut, spinster which demean women. While I agree to all that, I think "mistress" needs reclamation rather than a hastened departure. Using it is a way to do just that. Reclamation.
Questioning everything that appears as common-sense, that's the first rule of unlocking literature.

D) Others because there's no reference to who has taken the photograph. The reader simply doesn't know. The speaker never divulges who the photographer is because that is the point. It doesn't matter who has taken the photograph. What is important is that the implication of photograph is transforming depending on who sees it (speaker herself or the reader who is being told about it).
I have gone through various videos to understand the depth of this poem and I can confidently say that this is the best explanation of all.
