They were on it when he bought the truck so we dont really have any info on the wheels cept they're 18", but they r all in great shape & the tires are brand new.hes gonna put em up for sale cheap if your interested

If i keep it,i do plan to put a built 427 crate in it.just cuz i feel like thats what really should be in em. & the mo powa the betta right lol. I bought this car bout 4 mo ths ago or so cuz it's the wifes dream car. I like it,it's cool but was never my dream car. Im more of an exotic car guy, but it's a champagne wishes on a pabst blue ribbon budget lol. Im currently trying to convince her to let me sell it, but yes im getting extreme pushback as to be expected lol. It'd be nice since we live in the north,to have a toy we can use a bit more, like a newer mustang shelby gt500.its just a bit out of budget tho but im always brainstorming on a way to make things happen lol.

It's got a built 302 in it. Alum heads, cam. Cupl goodies.guessin maybe 350hpish? If i keep it I'd like to put a 427 crate in it. It's got plenty of power but a 427 just feels more correct lol

Haha thats great jan! I will pass that on to her, she absolutely loves the car. Unfortunately it's sitting in the garage right now, immobile as i was driving the hell out of it last weekend & ended up blowing something up lol. It's either the trans or the rear end im not sure. The car only has 5k miles on it, so it kinda sucks to have blown it up in only owning it 1 week lol. Cars gettin towed to a hot rod shop in Middletown ohio near us called road sports to get fixed next week. There will be some big changes coming to the car, like wheels & tires,& eventually im gonna paint it in hot rod satin black.im sick of havin to wash & wax it everytime we get it out lol

I've actually thought bout selling it once its done, as I've found another seadoo i want really bad.im sure you've seen them its called a seadoo switch? Thnx man! When i got it, it was basically mechanically mint, only has around 200 hrs use on it. But those late 90's stickers/colors had to go lol. I was busting my ass all spring & unfortunately into this summer to get it destickered, buffed, painted, all new stickers, painted sides black, etc etc. Thennnnnnn i got to the seats lol, oh boy. My cheap ass thought it'd be a good idea to say fuck the expensive ez to use pre cut/sewn vinyl upholstery kit, & just buy rolls of vinyl. Stupid idea lol. What an mfer project. In fact, i got bout halfway done with seats, when i realized this boat wasn't gonna make it in the water this year, so im still to this day only halfway done with em lol. They are looking great tho, after wasting a bunch of vinyl lol. I had the boat winterized & completely checked out last sept with my local pwc guy right after i bought it last sept, & it hasnt been started since so atleast i dont gotta winterize it again. Plan to finish these dreaded seats in spring, give it a good clean & prob a quick rebuff,& hopefully i can actually use it next summer. Oh, fyi- that dektek foam shit i cut & installed on the floor, fukin garbage.all the edges are already coming up after like 2 months.gonna have to peel all that shit out, sand & buff floor back to white. What a huge waste of $ it was

Was gonna buy that item from a porsche body kit from turismo.uk.com, but i think im gonna make it myself.im pretty good with fiberglass/bodywork/paint. & i agree i luv that look. I got my wing from ebay actually, i wasnt so sure i liked it at 1st but im good with it now.

Thnx man. I used rustoleum canyon black spray paint/primer in 1, in a can. Then used some good 2k spraymax glamour clear over it,also in a can.turned out pretty good, still gotta cut & buff it

@@bullfrogzbodyshop sure just search turbocharging the 1zz need help on spyderchat. I pretty much walked through everything I did, the cost and the difficulties I had. The 1zz 10.1 compression ratio is perfect for low to medium boost and can make lots of power on e85. The 1zzs limits aren’t much lower than the transmission limits so I dont really see the added cost and complexity being any benefit with swapping a 2zz with a low boost supercharger. Superchargers take power to run and you’ll likely be at 1zz power just spinning the 2zzs supercharger and the 1zz can easily make 250whp on a good e85 tune which is likely more than you’d see from a supercharged 2zz.

@@bullfrogzbodyshop when my engine blows I’ll likely buy a cheap 1zz (as they are pretty much being given away) probably throw some rods and pistons in it and be done. That should make all the power I’d be looking for without spending a fortune like I did for my sti(huge mistake fully building it)

Thnx man,all is going well so far,cept im redoing the vinyl seats atm,& i believe i might be the only dumbass out there thats doing it by using rolls of vinyl & not the pre cut kit lol. Sometimes its worth spending more i see now,cuz omfg this has sucked so far lol.

Glad you like it man! Still got a few pieces to add to it that will make it look even so much better soon. It wasn't too horrible to do actually, you just gotta have patience & take it slow when your attaching parts. I dont have any links unfortunately, but most of the universal splitter kits on ebay are all about the same. If you want to send me an email at bca45011@gmail.com i could prob take a cupl screen shots from my ebay purchases list & send you back a reply,that would help you find the same pieces so you know that they would fit. The bodykit is made by vis racing,its called the techno-r kit. I got that from andy's autosport website,think it cost me around $800. But you can find the kit on a bunch of different websites if you google it. I like the kit,& it was pretty ez to install.after i painted it, it was very close to a perfect fit

The red pieces are vis racing techno-r kit. Got that kit from andys auto sports website for i think $800. The various black pieces underneath are all universal pieces i got on ebay & modified to fit. I'll be adding another front splitter to the car that I'll fabricate myself, that will go under those 2 pieces in the front,& will take up the void in the middle.

Thnx man.its funny you say paint em to match,cuz ive got vent covers that are going on soon that match lol. All the black trim is painted in rustoleum primer/paint in 1, called canyon black. I really like the finish of it, its like a satin

It's made by vis racing, i believe it's an original oem toyota trd kit copy. I think the website i got it from was called andys auto sport. If i remember right i think i paid $800 for it but it's ben awhile & my memory sucks lol. I went with that kit cuz the reviews said the fitment was great & they we're right cuz after i painted it, it fit like a glove

@v8_sami ya,i wanted to do a full wide body kit but its too pricey

So the body kit is made by vis racing. Its basically a copy of the original trd kit that toyota offered i believe.i highly recommended the vis racing kit,as it arrived quick,in perfect condition, & the fit ment was perfect! If you do a google search you should find this kit on a few different websites. I think i got mine from a website called andy's auto sport i believe. Pretty sure i paid $800 for the kit including shipping. I painted it myself using the oem toyota super red.then simply used self tapping screws & some double sticky tape to put it on.although im going to remove those screws soon & rivet them on instead. The diffuser & the splitters underneath the kit are all universal fit stuff i got on ebay & modified them lil bit to fit. If you search ebay for universal diffusers, & splitters & all that kind of stuff you'll see them in the list. If you need any more info on any of it feel free to ask man i love to help ppl as much as i can.heck if you lived close I'd come help you put the kit on lol.

I got to get that body kit then. As at now Im only looking for just a simple front, rear lip and side skirt. I also would like to add the carbon fiber front and rear hood. Forgot to ask you, how is it to clean the car with those openings on the rear hood? Those the engine gets wet constantly? Also, we may live a bit far. I live in the northern side of Virginia. If you are from Ohio that is a good 5 hour drive or more.

@@carloslozanomolina87 ya 5hrs is a bit of a hike lol. Washing car with the open vent is np. A lil water shootin in there wont hurt anything especially if the motor is already hot. Keep me updated on the kit man,shouldn't be hard to find.also,vis racing makes a sweet carbon fiber engine lid with built in vents,but its pricey lol.think it ran around $1k. So i bought the ropey racing vent,& just wrapped the lid.

@@bullfrogzbodyshop yes I have found those VIS hood for a bit over $1k. I also would like to try to wrap my stock hood just to get an idea on how it may look with an aftermarket hood. Speaking of VIS hood, do you have any experience or know anything about the VIS carbon fiber hard top? Like how is the fitment, those it needs seal, hardware etc.

I get it,some ppl are more of a purest when it comes to cars . Im super happy with it but dont wanna go too far with it.didnt do the wide body kit just for that reason, well & the cost lol. I think the front splitter,canards & scoop covers on the side will look great,but im still contemplating the fender flares,they may be too much even for me lol. Outsides almost done, then I'll do a few things to interior, like seats. Then I'll be saving up for a supercharged 2zz swap.i appreciate your opinion ty

If I would be walking down that street, I would most definitely stop, even if I am in a hurry :) Wow 2zz supercharged engine? :D That thing is a beast! What supercharger would you be using? I was unable to locate any for the 1ZZ. I have an MR2 spyder as well for a year now, only drove 100 miles, for 10 months now it is at a mechanic, brand new engine, brand new 6 speed trans with stock LSD, new suspension (Koni, with RS-R springs), 16 inch OZ wheels, all TRD braces, muffler, exhaust manifold, additional Kage mid bracing, TRD rear strut, Cusco front strut, S2000 seats, leather interior,hard top, etc., and soon it is finished. Then I will install body parts as well and paint the whole car but I am going more for a factory tuning look. Was also thinking about 2zz, but in my country, it is impossible to make it legal, it sucks! Later on a supercharger for the 1zz is something that have interest me, but it is impossible to get one in Europe, sucks as well... I subbed, curious about the end result of your car, hope you make a complete review after you are done :) Congratulations for your Spyder, it is a unique one!

@@frozenrage6664 wow you've done quite a few amazing options! Mechanical/chassis/suspension is faaaar beyond mine lol. As far as the supercharger goes, im no mechanic, im not sure if theres 1 available for the 1zz or not. I've pondered just putting a nice turbo on my 1zz & calling it a day lol. & although my 1zz has pretty low mileage at 65k, & the precats were removed very early, i still worry a bit about the so called known ring issues with the 1zz,& that supposedly alot of these start burning oil. The 2zz without anything special being done to it,run about 50ish more hp i believe,& is supposedly a more reliable motor.as im never selling this car cuz i luv luv luv it lol, it seems like the better choice to me to swap it.i know the best swap is gonna be the k20/k24 honda motor,but it also comes down to $,& the fact that im a bit scared to swap the motor myself,being how precious this machine is to me.so given those facts, i think, whats going to happen is im gonna bring the car to a shop in michegan,called monkey wrench racing.its a very popular place for parts/services for this car.& just happens out im lucky enuff to only be 3.5 hrs away from them lol. On they're website, they say they can swap me into a 2zz, with a supercharger,all tuned up & ready to rip.& end up with around 240hp for about $10kish usd.alot of $ yes,but these guys are highly trusted,& 240hp in this car i believe would be a plenty! I also think the supercharger is alot less risk than a turbo. So i think this is whats gonna happen.i just gotta pay off a loan before getting another 1 lol

@@bullfrogzbodyshop Yeah, of course I know Monkey Wrench Racing, everybody knows about them around the world who owns a Spyder of course! Indeed, the 2ZZ is more reliable if you can handle properly, however you should know that this engine is less forgiving if you money shift for example, additionally, if the 2ZZ dies, it is garbage afterwards, there is no way to rebuild them. Many people chose the 1ZZ turbo without regrets, just make sure you master the car, mid-engine layout is a lot less forgiving if you mess it up in the corner. Especially if you want 240 HP, it is a lot of power in the Spyder, it will be even more dangerous, you will have to be extremely gentle with the gas pedal. When the turbo builds up pressure, and start pushing that big power, you need your attention, or you will end up crashing the Spyder. I think a normal 2ZZ for starter is just great, and if you really feel that you need more power, you can just go one step further anytime you wish. Additionally, suspension mods and bracing is best thing you can do with this car! I have a 500 HP 3 series GT as well, and I already got used to the power this thing has, you just get used to every power level, it won't be as exciting after couple of weeks, however cornering is something I cannot get enough of, and the Spyder is the best at it. With less power, the Spyder gives me more joy then the 3 series. If you are using the car on the street, I would recommend Koni sport coilovers, with Eibach springs. Or if you have amazing roads, you can use the H&R springs, but they are a bit hard, if the road quality is not that great. Bracing and good coilovers will be the best decision for Joy. You can track with the Koni as well. There are some more expensive coilover kits, like the Ksport, BC racing etc., only go for these if you only track the car, on street these are way too hard, and will make the car even more dangerous within the corners, because you will be bumping on the road, and lose grip mid corner, it is scary. The diffuser is on ebay, the front lip is 2 out of the 3 pieces the universal splitter kit came with,also on ebay.ill be adding a bigger aluminum splitter to go underneath those 2 pieces as well that will make up the gap in the middle.the 2 side vents on the skirts also are universal vents from ebay.im a cheap sob i get everything from ebay pretty much lol. If you look at my pieces closely,then compare them to what you see on ebay under universal splitter, vents,diffuser,youll find all of it.if you need any help at all tho just holla at me.im gettin ready to add the custom made aluminum splitter under the front,maybe add vent to the front quarter panels,then spray the car satin black.i think with the carbon that'd look sick.that way the car is just satin black+ carbon, instead of red black + carbon
