Holy moly. Welcome back man. Was randomly cruising around the dark streets of TH-cam and found you're here again. Been watching you since Hearthstone (maybe under a different name), and I was sad that you had to take on a hiatus. But life happens and that takes priority. Looking forward to your intellectual and witty comments once again =)

I have no idea why I'm here. It's 2024.

The biggest problem with this game is that it often stacks odds against you to a borderline unfair degree, when you must rely on luck rather than skill, then it feels like a cheap victory. I get a lot of garbage cards that do nothing and more often than not, this is usually why I lose, not because I suck, but because I have nothing good to work with. It's like playing Black Jack, or Poker, you'll have no way of knowing what cards you get, so you'll often be struggling, I always do with the third battle of eighteen, and most of the time it feels as if the game is cheating, putting you at an obvious disadvantage. Much like how the Xenomorph's AI is essentially cheating in the game of Alien Isolation; he'll always know your general location, but not your exact right away; that eventually gets revealed the longer he's around Ripley. Sure, the more you do it, the better you get, but that still doesn't take away the feeling of being slighted in nearly every battle. They can either be lightning-quick, or mostly, like for me, most battles become a war of attrition; you'll eventually lose, the question is when. Never before could I say that I was dealt a sleight of hand, and meant that.

Until I watched this video I didn’t know you could get more than one servitor! I assumed because the Cohort screen only showed 1, that was the max. I wondered why the game was so difficult! LOL.

Thanks for casting! I've found these very interesting. Such a simplicity and exciting gameplay, better than famous Slay the Spire etc.

I bought this on Xbox (works great) over 2 years ago on sale. Only started playing recently, and this is a great guide still even in mid 2024! I’ll have to watch your Hard play through. One thing I have not found is an “optimal build” video for tech priests. I know we want to max out one tree, but then what? Max another, fully (and which one) or pick bits of tech from the other trees? This is what I really want to know. I’m still on my first play, I just reached 52% Awakened state. Thanks!

If you uptalk you should stop. If you say "literally" for no reason, you should stop.

I got it in 6 seconds with 8 Pickup If left not equal to worker, step up, drop If top left and right are equal to worker or wall on right, step down, drop Jump the whole thing below pick up. Adding if conditions doesn’t add lines and is necessary because the last person won’t have a worker on their right hence the or statement. It’s easy once you realize it doesn’t matter where the people go after the box is dropped.

I started watching this series to learn about the various troops, instead I ended up learning that servitors are the only thing that matters lol. I actually unlocked the skitarii vanguard pretty early and did this mission without even realizing it was a boss, near the start of the game. but the vanguards have incredible damage and range and I just kept killing everything that got close enough while I pummeled the boss at every chance I got.

For the speed challenge, take them the most direct route, taking diagonals where possible, ignoring the route marked out.

Run away rules are 10x party health vs enemies. There's an item that lowers it only need 5x party health.

Im like in 50run and no dialog, also he started not showing always, and not giving any dialogue at all? :( EDIT: run after i wrote this i got dialogue LMAO

for speed set upper nearest wall at start, when shredd box step to wall and then pick up nearest box. This way you avoid random steps

Oh, so "Q" is a shortcut for burst. Well, if only I knew about it few hours earlier before beating nightmare mode, during which I was using burst 50+ times a battle. I was going left and right with my mouse all the time 😀

I think that Potion item has more value than one would think... by the end of the game, you are just (often) throwing T1 items in the bag since they aren't useful. Getting an item that can be SUPER good for exactly 1 fight is a way to make a T1 item a good earlygame pick to use in lategame. Party depending, of course.

I think this is my favorite series of yours since Overfall. Though I'll always be partial to 1 2 3 4 5 6 Season.

Truly your most masochistic run yet! (This one was definitely the most fun so far.) When you get a random, say, 5 or 7 item, is the chance 50/50 between a level 5 and a level 7? I swear you've lost that coin flip (if it is one) several times in a row now. Maybe they put every 5 and 7 into a pot and there are more 5s than 7s?

Love the "commentary" on the "skipped levelup". You sure the curse you chose wasn't "record video while tired"? ;p

I'll admit I wasn't confident in this run at any point, from the relatively short video length to the curse to the very last turn. Well done pulling this one out!

I'm a bit behind, so I'm not sure if you've realized these since, but note that you can use Foretell multiple times to stack the bonus mana. You did this a couple of times, but it seems to have been on accident and didn't notice. Also, the Self-Heal/Self-Shield side didn't get the Cleanse/Self-Cleanse because Cleanse has to have a pip on that side to know how much to cleanse, so it's ineligible. Definitely a good call on the late game Orange choice, it really worked out!

With all that gold you could have gotten the sorcerous strike too, upgrade it at the anvil and even delete a bad card in the monastery or two. Even copy a piercing 10 damage from a clone. No idea why you would risk death so much without utilizing all that gold and options for a much better deck. Too greedy. I guess it happens. damn. Too many 1s in the deck. :/

Ah. So Soldier + Soup = Paladin. That'll make my D&D campaigns much more interesting.
