wow.
This scene (the full version which is in the film!) has got to be my absolute favorite surfing scene of all time. The footage of the waves together with the storyline and the music just bring such amazement. I love this film so much!!
garretstown all da way tis class
Can someone tell me what song this is?
"Coming right over" by Hal, ik its 9 hrs later
No matter it helped me!
@Topgear2009 surf culture in ireland fuckin pumped on that cant wait to head up there and get some mental surf
nice one guys
We've got world class waves but man we have to wait for them perfect days...
@TomRocheCork Just after noticeing your reply Tom,although I don t think you actually took the time to read mine properly! And I disaggree strongly with you on your view that it could nt have been made better, for a start ditch the annoying Molloy drivvle....feature IRISH surfers....it saddened me that Al mennie had no mention what-so-ever....you don t know me,or if im into"commercialised surf movies" so I don t see how that is relevant.Oh and I do like it here,I surf un-crowded waves in the NW ;)
Ain't that the truth, what's right is right (Strutter)
Ireland has the best of everything lol
what a legend you mean. keep it going richie, irish surf is still finding its feet, there is a long and fun road ahead!
Read his article in Outsider, clever guy, very well written
Gabe is classic. Watched his 'video diary' from the 90's a hundred times probably .. the one where he went to South Africa. "there's food in the fridge for the kitty" and "Surfin' Whitley Bay!" classic quotes.
This film could have been SO much better.......far too much american tree-hugging and not enough Irish SURFING.Stick another 20 mins onto "Power of three"and thats a PROPER Irish surf film. This is bollocks bar maybe a collective 5-10 mins out of the whole film, was hugely dissapointed when I paid hard-earned cash to see this in a cinema, and so did the other 5 people attending.
What a lifestyle, just bought the DVD!
Well he's grown since I spoke to him last. Think it's about time he got back up to Thurso East.
would love to see kelly at my local spot!
watch it online here divxon.blogspot . com/2009/12/waveriders-2008.html
I am studying media in college and we watched this the other day. A beautiful piece of work! Really enjoyed it.

Gabe Gabe Gabe Gabe Gabe Gabe Gabe Gabe :D
I know the Regissuer of this movie!! his the husband of my moms friend! Surfing is the best...in ireland the waves are nasty! I get up at 7 just to surf.... usually before everyone wakes up... im 14 and i think im addicted.
I live in Ireland (im Half german half columbian) and the waves here are sick! i take the bus from dublin to dunegal every weekend to go surfing...i wake up at 7 to go shredding...its the best! Im only 14 but i love it!
Still surfing?
@@pet_cow_5452 Damn guess we will never know?
Ronzy this video is from the film waveriders. its great
yeah i guess
Crowds, media hassle, when fistral is on there are other spots on the north coast which aremuch better, cold water, cold climate it does get world class but very very rarely the majority of the time it's gash, he's been there already why go back?
ok and what reasons would they be?
what video is this from?... where can I see the whole thing? cheers. MrLee: Kelly would not surf Fistral, for many many reasons
seen it today.....very good
Name of band Hal, Name of song "Coming Right Over". The album is worth buying. I have it.
Just saw it in the cinema and its very good and well worth a watch. Really interesting and moving story about George Freeth. The slow motion footage of Kelly Slater is incredible. Some great footage of the Cliffs of Moher, ending with massive waves at Mullaghmore. Well done to all
