August 2010-This was a performance at Black Creek Pioneer Village. "Michelle" (Canadian Brass Beatles Books). I didn't quite hit high enough during the cadenza at times but it was an interesting solo to play.
Duck Feeding-Listen to the commentary as well!

This little video was taken in Edwards Gardens of my boyfriend feeding the ducks. Thought it was cute so decided to post it, the kind of thing that will make you smile. :)
"Nocturne" from A Midsummer Night's Dream (Felix Mendelssohn, Arr. Geoffrey Brand)

I performed this during the Northdale Concert Band performance at Hope United Church in Toronto (Sunday March 8, 2009). The concert band version is a half step down from the orchestral, due to the pure nature of a concert band. Sorry this recording isn't the best in the world...and I had a couple of hicc-ups due to variations in temperature in the sanctuary of the church so I mistakenly had a c...

On You Tube, we are bombarded with virtuosity from classical superstars, but the best postings are ones like this. I had no idea what to expect when I first played it, but the horn playing is absolutely beautiful. Very moving and wonderful.

You have know reason to put down your performance. This is my all time favorite piece to perform and you did an EXCEPTIONAL job, as well as your second horn. This is one of the most beautiful works to feature the horn. It is a must for all horn players to perform at some point in their career. Well done and I thank you for the performance. Just heard Prof. Chennette say Lincolnshire at the end of the recording. Did you play Lincolnshire Posey as well? Great horn lines in that one!!

It is, and it is a nice concert band arrangement. It's not overscored like so many transcriptions. It took a bit to wrap my ears around it as I've done the original orchestral one (don't have a recording of it unfortunately). I guess the reason would be because the original and this are only a semi-tone apart.
