It just hit me this morning, Billy, but I was thinking about the interview and how you were most impacted by finding out about Elvis' drug use. We're also approximately the same age and I remember how badly I cried when Elvis died, with that being such a surprise to my parents et al, as I only slightly knew of who he was as a child, at that time. Thus, as an adult, and because of that sadness in me over someone I didn't even really know - I was mystified as to WHY? And my searching for the answer to that 'why' question is what led me to be such a big Elvis fan. However, to get back on track.... called the WEAVE by President Trump (lol), I want to simply make the point as to how utterly devastated I was learning the news of the drugs. I'm still shocked to this day at how let down I felt, and I even had that picture of Elvis (white shirt), on set smiling, looking at me off my bedroom wall, and I for quite some time had difficulty looking at it. Sorry, too, if I bore you or your audience, but my discovery and deep disappointment of where and when I leaned of these revelations, at least to me, was surreal. As I had a copy of 'Elvis: What Happened' and another tome I can't remember, but the book was on Elvis, & my parents agreed to take me to Graceland in its very 1st yr being opened and we booked our stay at the Howard Johnson's, now gone, but a half mile, maybe a mile, east of Graceland back then. With my remembering running straight up the street to Graceland, as soon as I checked in, and I felt totally in awe looking up at the house and touching the fence. Spending the rest of that day on Beale Street eating to my heart's content and listening to some great blues players out on the street corners. But then after a long day, on Beale - and exploring Memphis - we headed back to Ho Jos as I was looking forward to a long warm bath and doing some reading. It being in that Howard Johnson's bathtub when the drug revelations hit me like a ton of bricks! Given that I had just been, perhaps the most ecstatic person in the world that entire day, and then I literally remember, when I was a still quite young, two (2) letter varsity athlete, barely having the strength to get out of the tub and into bed. The following, however, being the real kicker. And trust me, with my not necessarily believing what I was told by the individual who checked us in. Though, at that time, there still could have been employees from the time Elvis had died. However, and when given the key, my parents and I were told with an impish grin that we would be sleeping in Elvis Presley's room, and that the room had ALSO been used by his 'guys', is what we were told, as he did not name Joe Esposito, Larry Geller or others we now know stayed there, too. Therefore, I very much think you can see, given the aforementioned circumstances going from sheer ecstasy upon arrival, to totally becoming nauseous, and where it was- and I stress MAY have been where Elvis slept, it was a lot to take in for a young teenager.

I knew most of what was in Lisa's book but a few thing's were more in depth and a lot was missing her feelings towards Vernon were a bit strange she felt no emotional attachment and messed with him in the coffin. She was a bit of bad girl before Elvis died she wasn't the sweet angel that romanticised fans think she was. The second half is mostly Riley. Riley has a good head on her for sure.

In large agreement with you, but can't condone Sonny, Red and Dave writing that book, though I'm empathetic to the situation they found themselves in. Though I also 'didn't walk in their shoes.' I personally don't think I could do that to someone I loved, however. While I know from various people I've talked to, knowledgeable of the situation, and trustworthy, I believe, that Sonny seems to have regretted it. No doubt a tragedy for all four (4) men. But, you're quite right, Billy. If you live a good, Christian life, a person is able to avoid many, many troublesome things. And, of course, I've been with you from the beginning, and I am so happy to see the success you have achieved. When, of course, you have created an entire body of wonderful archival Elvis footage for generations more of people to see. Could you tell me when you launched the first video, ole friend? Elvis was very fallable and human but he was more good than bad the way he shared what he had was inspiring.

Elvis was absolutely not bad to women. None of them ever said that and having more than one women was known by most of the women at the time.

Glad others noticed Elvis dating habits were the same I was too much of gentleman to tell one of Elvis co stars that he had said and done the same with other women they want to feel special and Elvis tried to make them feel like he loved only them. Despite having a girl in every town I think maybe Elvis movies weren't too far from what he was up to. 😂

Hello Spa Guy ,Trey and Rob, First,It is very obvious Spa Guy that you are a smart man and wise to all. Also,two other guys very smart are Rob And Trey! And how do I know? They are your good friends and as you say “ side kick “ Secondly, my husband and I are big Elvis fans we even had an Elvis room packed with memorabilia. However, we know Elvis was far far from perfect, all around from his temper to his multiple women in his life,Yet he was the king of Rock and Roll and never will be another! We , overlook his not so good Persona. Thirdly , I believe that Elvis had something bothering him and impossible to deal within. I used to work at a morgue when I was younger. When they came to harvest a body, it would sometimes take three to four people to place the body on the stretcher. When they brought the remains back, that they didn't want, I could literally pick up the body bag with one hand.

I live in Tupelo. There is always something going on here. I used to take my Ole Miss students to the North Mississippi Medical Center Morgue. Every time a student would get sick, so I stopped. "I have heard some things were indeed true, regarding the story." My Dad"s funeral was at Holland's place.
