I recently purchased a PT1000 sensor with two wires and attempted to connect it to my RCT Basic hotplate. When connected to pin-1 and pin-5, it showed error 6. I then tried connecting it to pin-3 and pin-1, resulting in error 25. Could you please provide any guidance on how to correctly connect this external probe to the RCT Basic hotplate? My ambient temperature display shows up once in a while. My climate control works for 10-15mins then switches off. This morning it rained and my ambient temperature display worked but showed -6°c but the real ambient temperature was 20°c. This time around the climate control won't work. This afternoon once the weather dried up my climate control worked but only for 10-15mins. N.B. I recently changed the Aircon compressor. Do you think the external temperature sensor is faulty.

I did exactly the same thing to that plastic housing. I just turned it the same way I had on the passenger side. How stupid am I? I’d removed the headlights before without any problems…. Replacing that plastic housing would cost a fortune, I’m sure, if I could even find one. Who knows why VW designed it that way… 😢.

PCV valve needs replaced/cleaned on these motors, it’s in the second hose you were pointing at on the drivers side cover.

The correct way to remove the projector is actually heating up the assembly and pulling the lens off of the assembly. All 4 tabs should have been bolted down on all 4 corners for stability and alignment purposes.. Now, as far as the projector goes, the bowls can and do oxidize and there is no way to clean it at all. The reflective material would peel right off as soon as a cleaner was introduced to the projector bowl. If you were having a problem with getting good light output, buying the morimoto EVO-x2 projector would have been your best option. Extremely great cutoff sheld and great light output. As a tech, I wanted to point you in the right direction so that if you ever decide to do it again, then you'll have the correct information to do it right. This is by no means me criticizing your efforts. A lot of people have undertaken this task and did a lot of irreparable damage, and passing off bad information as the correct method of repair for this type of part. Most vehicles that have a projector from the factory will oxidize over time and people get really frustrated when they dump money on bulb after bulb trying to fix the problem when that wasn't the case. These Hella projectors are okay for what they are, but they do lack performance and like with most European vehicles, they aren't designed for the states weather conditions. Unfortunately all of this plays a roll in how long the projector will hold up, same thing with the electric system, especially the PCM. I'm getting ready to do the exact same thing to my 07 saab 2.0T wagon. However I will be doing a lot of lighting upgrades and I am seriously considering posting the entire process on TH-cam for people to see how it is done correctly. Again, not trying to criticize you for your efforts, just giving some advice on the subject if you decide to do this again. . Same process if you decided to do a retrofit build with a reflector type assembly, only a bit simpler because most reflector type assemblies don't have wiring harnesses running through the headlights.

I need this done on an old Morticer one shank is .004 too big won’t fit in the collar all the rest of the hollow chisels fit fine except the 5/16 luckily it comes with a nice 1/4 as well
