RANGERCANDY | DIY Great Taste High Energy SNACK | Old Swedish MARINE Recipe
Hello and welcome to my channel, Agge Out North.
In this episode I'll show you an old recipe I was taught 30 years ago in the Swedish Marines during Arctic Warfare Training.
The instructors called the snack Jägargodis (Rangercandy).
To this day, I still enjoy making different variants of jägargodis when I go hiking, instead of buying expensive snacks and bars with a lot of artificial additives.
Original recipe:
250 gr (9 oz) of raisins
400 gr (14 oz) of peanuts
200 gr (7 oz) of milk chocolate
My suggestions for different variants:
Add cashew nuts, dried cranberries, dried exotic fruit like mango, papaya, pineapple or candied ginger.
Feel free to share your favorite snack recipe in the comments.
Intro music from Uppbeat: uppbeat.io/track/infraction/try

STELLAR Ultralight Down Hood 2.0 | Review | The BEST Down jacket on the market?
มุมมอง 11Kปีที่แล้ว
Hello and welcome to my channel, Agge Out North. In this episode I will be reviewing my down jacket from Stellar Equipment, the Stellar Ultralight Down Hood 2.0. I´ve had the jacket for about 2 years, and here You can get my take on it! If You think Stellar Equipment sounds like an interesting brand, go check them out at www.stellarequipment.com I´m not sponsored or affiliated with Stellar Equi...
Would have been nice if the camera man took a few steps back to see the jacket throughout the blog rather than just focusing on your face ….
No inside pockets. Not getting my money. Coats are being made worse and worse these days
I hate the outside pocket. I wish it was 2 on the inside instead
On many websites, it would show you the temperatures in which the jacket can be worn. I couldnt find what temperature ranges this could be best used in. The video here says 0 degrees F? or Celcius?
basically only the USA and a few islands use F, so yeah, it's Celsius
@@cassio.ludewigs Thanks, I just bought mine, do you just let it air out for the jacket to get puffy? Mine was packaged for a couple weeks.
@@testaccounting865 I don't own one. I just answered the Celsius question.
From the Stellar website, "Depending on individual circumstances, as a general guideline, this jacket will keep you warm at -12°C / 14°F when worn as a standalone over a base and a mid-layer during low-pulse activity." I hope that answers your question.
@@juntex40 Thank you very much! :)
Thank you!,
Is the jacket also suitable for skiing?
I've used it for skiing also, and it worked great!
Hello, I’m 179 cm and 81 kg. Based on that, would you recommend M-size or L-size for Stellar Equipment winter down jackets? Many thanks for your answer!
They have a good size guide on their site
You can check out their size-guide on their website. But since you're only a little bigger than me, I would think a M would fit you nicely.
Thank you very much!
Amazing jacket thank you for review
I washed it so many times then you throw it in the tumble dryer with some tennis balls and comes out puffy and new, weighs nothing, warm and can be rolled up into a little ball, look no further, Stellar equipment for the pros!
Hi What colour is the jacket of the video? Dk grey or blublack? Could you please tell me?
It's grey!
great advice
How this jacket performs compared to arc'teryx cerium lt?
The Arc´teryx Cerium LT was actually the other down jacket I was comparing to before I decided to buy the Stellar! The Arc´teryx is ALSO a really great jacket and they are very comparable. They both have 850 FP down and so on. To me, the Stellar jacket just feels a little more lightweight! I can't really explain why, maybe the other fabric is thinner. In Sweden there is a price differens of 500kr (€50) between the Arc´teryx and the Stellar, and that was the final reason I decided to try the Stellar. But whey are both great jackets, and I think you will be pleased with which ever you choose to buy!
@@aggeoutnorth my impression is that stellar ultralight is a bit warmer and more packable: contains more down of the same quality and another advantage is that the down is hydrophobic
Yes, I agree. The Stellar feels warmer but still lighter.
