I think you made the wrong choice. Rust is an incredible character, but full of suffering and sadness. There's a poll recently that confirmed that as religion goes down , people see no purpose in their lives and are perpetually sad and thinking "what's the point of living life". There's a reason why depression is so high . Religion brings answers to these questions and helps people.

​@@kshitizyadav3174 if he is happy then he did not made a wrong choice. Of course that religion gives you purpose and sense of living, but it is fragile and doomed. The more you think about religion you start to realize that it doesn't really make sense. It doesnt matter if it's christianity, islam, buddhism or hinduism. People just don't think about that at all, they believe what they were told as children and when you start deconstructing your faith you may start to feel like your life is not worth living or it don't have any sense. Which isn't true and we can see that in true detective also. And I personally don't think that he is atheist based on only a serial. His faith was probably long gone before td.

@@spb1786 rust was a vicious person , he was depressed, negative and pessimistic. There's a reason that all his relationships with men and women failed. what's the point of living life without friends , happiness and being in a perpetual state of depression
