Another BIG Church Yard Sale - Vintage shopping for eBay

Final local church sale of the summer. It was a super fun madhouse in there. You could feel the excitement of everybody looking for treasure. Favorite part of a church sale is watching people try to keep their ‘grace’ when they see something they want but someone is standing in their way. They can’t be rude because they are in church. That’s the real treasure. Find the finds in our eBay store Y...

You are so smart in knowing all your pieces, how wonderful and all so beautiful
Learning and making plenty of mistakes as I go, but that’s all part of the fun!!
What beautiful item, loved everything, great haul
Aww thanks so much for watching and commenting. Glad you are enjoying the finds!
That dolphin I have one and the fin mysterious got broken ,
Oh man that’s a bummer. Blame the dog or the cat? Lol and thanks for watching!!
That board wall has an interesting marks on it or stains.
The stains are from an old bridle hook. It was made out of very old iron horse shoes and had rusted out. When I dismantled and rebuilt the inside of the barn I made sure to reuse those boards together. Love that kinda stuff. Thanks again for watching and commenting!!
I think the flashed blue vase and the green one are Hyacinth bulb vases - you might already know that. Anyway, wondered where your video was, thanks for posting I enjoyed the tour.
I think you’re right. I haven’t looked into it further, but I thought I had seen the green vase listed with a brand name somewhere. So glad you enjoyed the tour!! Thanks a bunch for watching and commenting.
I appreciate your approach, just learning your way, making a few bucks as well but just enjoying the journey. Your comfort on camera is increasing with each video I see and who doesn’t love a sassy mare!
Göran Warff is an employee at Kosta Boda ( was he is retired) he is one of the famous designers at Kosta Boda
Yes that what I’ve learned. I hadn’t known before finding the piece. Learning more everyday. Thanks so much for watching and sharing!!
The drip glaze vase looks like Japanese pottery (AWAJI) 1920S AND 1930S
That’s the closest match I found too but I couldn’t find any with the that medallion detail. Hopefully, I didn’t make to big of a mistake not buying it. Thanks so much for watching and sharing!!
I own that pink pedestal bowl. It has a matching bowl. I also have a whiskey decanter like that.
I’ve seen the cake stand in that pattern too which is also very charming. Thanks so much for watching and commenting!! More to come.
Congrats!! You are a natural! Glad I found your channel. Love the horse snorts in the background and the wood wall behind you is rustic perfection.
Hi thanks!! I’m glad to hear you are enjoying the channel. Who doesn’t love horse snorts lol. Thanks so much for watching and sharing
Great pic ups where do you sell ???
Hi thanks!! I sell on eBay. My shop on there is also called yesterdays braid. Thanks so much for watching and commenting!!

Enjoyed your video and subscribed.
Hey thanks so much for subscribing! Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for commenting too. More to come!!
A realtor. You are a wonderful conversationalist. Your people skills are amazing. Good luck and success.
I can sell your house, or stitch your injured cat back together, whichever. (I’m also a state licensed vet tech).People skills are a product of reminding myself we are all scared spiders. I try not to worry about being accepted and remind myself to spend my energy being accepting of others. Thanks so much for all your comments. More to come!!!
The audience will gravitate and bond with you quickly. You have a very lively and magnetic personality. Your delivery is good just like an inspiring teacher. How could you not be a home run. Knock it out of the park.
Lively only after coffee. Magnetic only when adequately fed lol. Thanks so much for watching and commenting!!
You are really a great researcher with a vocabulary. You must pay attention to all things and have a good photographic memory. You have a great treasure hunting future. Good luck from an old fart antique dealer.
I have a terrible memory lol. Without notes I’m a fish on the dock. My mother was a reference librarian with a great vocabulary so I owe that skill and researching skills to her. Thanks so so much for all your comments, encouragement and watching!!
Just found your channel ~ enjoy your enthusiasm for glass & learning more about it. Glad you beat Joe to the vase, and congrats on picking up more subscribers! You're genuine & that always attracts people 😊
Hey thanks, yeh Joe is an early bird and usually beats me to the sales. Great guy, owes me lunch lol. Thanks for your encouragement, it mean a lot. I love researching and learning. Any excuse for tucking in with coffee and scholarly pursuits.
I think it's insane that people leave the salt and pepper inside the shakers.
I know right!?! It would be so much better if folks would leave their gold in there. Geeez people lol! However, I’ll take the pepper over the decades old dusty tissues stuffed into the bottom of vases as a floral frogs. Thats likes opening a sarcophagus sometimes lol.
@@YesterdaysBraid LOL Right!
A kay after my own heart! I love glass! i really like your content and you found some really great stuff!!!
Awww hey thanks. I love glass too!! Don’t know what it is, but it’s fun to collect, research and sell to someone else who also loves it. I can remember being a little kid and just staring at all the stuff in my grandmothers china cabinets like “wow nan has so much treasures” I think that’s where it all started. She noticed me staring at it often enough, that decades later she left me a bunch of it when she passed. It was pretty cool. I need more china cabinets honestly lol!! Thanks for watching and commenting. More to come.
Thanks for sharing how much you expect items to sell for.
No problem!! Thanks so much for watching!I’m not always certain about my prices but I’ve been learning as I go.
Really good job👏been a picker 40+yrs...ur smart & funny...cool funky fresh haul🎉❤️
Hey thanks! That means a lot. “Cool funky fresh” is an awesome compliment for my finds. Definitely so encouraging!! More to come. Again thank you so much!!
The yellow and white lamps at 6:27 were really pretty. They didn't have old fashioned florals, what a nice change. 👍 You have a good eye.
I should have grabbed them. They are a bit to ship but they were cool. I should go see if they’re still there.
Great video. Im going through your other videos. Lynn in AZ 🌵
Hey Lynn in AZ!! Thanks so much. Just getting the hang of this. Thanks for commenting and watching more of my videos. More to come!!
New subscriber, and I'm impressed with you and your channel. Thank you. Lynn in AZ 🌵
Thanks so much for you encouragement and subscribing!!! Learning as I go.
Woodstock pottery from Woodstock New York. I did a google lens look up on the signature. 😊
OMG you’re awesome!! Thank you so much for sharing the knowledge. Nothing was coming up in image searches when I originally listed it. I read your comment, looked up Woodstock Pottery and bam there it was. Thanks so much, you rock!!!
It’s always more interesting to watch someone when they know their stuff and want to learn more. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching and commenting!! It’s so much fun researching and learning the various makers and their history. I love a good research rabbit hole lol.
What's your tip for packing glassware? Thx
Hi!! I wrap the item like a burrito, with bubble wrap, the big bubbles. Tape that so the item cannot slip out of the bubble wrap when being removed from the box. To cushion the item in the box, I use newspaper or paper bags torn in half or bubble wrap from a local business who sets it aside after they receive items. I try to use eco friendly bubble wrap and reuse bags and packing materials to not create more waste. I try to ship in the usps priority boxes because they are made from recycled materials. I have a video about packing large glass which goes into it a bit further. Thanks so much for watching and asking question!!
The dog is my fav!
Right!?! I’m such a sucker for a dog with a lazy eye lol!! Thanks for watching and commenting
You need to be a little pushier because they are not gonna move for you .
I hear ya. I feel like every sale requires a different level of tact lol!! People are fickle. I’d rather get bit my cat then snapped at by some entitled stranger. I can go from tactful to mouthful of passive aggressive snark too quick some days lol.
OMG That green and yellow vase is GORGEOUS!!!
It sold but I’m still trying to figure out who the maker is lol. I’ve seen one other listed but no maker given for that one either. One day I’ll know…one day. Thanks for watching and commenting!!
Love when the items are pre-priced.
Agreed, I’m a definite klutz so the less glass I have to pick up to look for a price the better. Thanks for watching and commenting!!
Great finds! UK viewer here. You tube suggested you to me a couple of videos ago. Like your style. Listening with headphones though - took me a good five minutes to discern that the odd clucking noises were coming from the video and not my immediate surroundings! 😂
Hahaha yes I need to mention I have chickens more often so folks know what they’re hearing. It’s thrown a couple people off. There is also a horse occasionally snorting in the background too. I swear none of those noises are coming from me.
Loved the Haul
Thanks that was an awesome sale. The athletic team that held sale made a killing. The kids did an phenomenal job organizing all the stuff. But the real athletes that day were us shoppers. Trying to run our first loads out to the car and running back for seconds.
It’s amazing how you know what most or all of these pieces are from or what they are
I’m a total rookie. It’s all a guess until I get it home and confirm it. I often drive home with my fingers crossed lol. Thanks so much for watching and commenting.
I love your drive to hunt what’s good to purchase and your videos are awesome
Thanks so much! My maiden name is hunt so there might be something there lol. I love hunting even for stuff that’s gone missing in my own house. Husband tells me he can’t find something…I’m on it. Thanks so much for watching and commenting!
Cathrineholm lotus bowl set with NO chips??? Wow, wow, wow. The tall green pitcher goes well with the pink, blue, orange. It’s a great complimentary piece.
I wish I had a slightly bigger house so I could keep some of these finds!! I need maybe like additional 2000sq ft no big deal !! Thanks so much for watching and commenting!!
WOW! Awesome finds. This past weekend, I had a guy run after me at a yard sale. I was getting in my car after making my purchases and he called out, stopped me, ran up and asked if I had purchased a specific item. I said yes and he offer to buy it for $40 (I had paid $10). I knew I had found a good item. I think I can get $90 + for a vintage shell clock.
Rock on!!! I was that guy once. Missed out on vase by moments. I asked the lady who bought if she’d take double what she paid but she was on to me in heartbeat. She gave me the side eye and sternly said a very long “noooooo”. I didn’t press further. I got scared lol. Thanks for sharing that story and best luck selling it too!!
Hello, new subscriber from North Carolina. Love your video and WOW, such great items! My favorite is the Catherineholm dish and the green square bottle.
Agreed, those and the Fenton vase are my favorites from the sales. I also like green glass planter by Indiana glass. Tempted to keep it. I mean, there are a lot listed soooo maybe I’ll just hold…..Thanks so much for watching and commenting.
Nice Bong!
Lol yeh if your mouth was a weird shape and you could get a good seal on the top. It’d be a stunner!! Thanks for watching and cracking me up!! (Also I’m not now sitting here thinking about how to best cut the top off a swung vase.)
Very fun! Thank you
Awesome so glad you enjoyed!! Thanks so much for watching and commenting!!
Wow, you found some great items for amazing prices.
Yes yes, the weather helped too. Both days were high 70s and sunny! I’m sure some of that stuff would not have been out had it been rainy. Thanks a bunch for watching and commenting!!
I love your attitude and treasures, I’d really love to see your beautiful horses in the background ❤️
Aww thanks. Yes I plan on including my horse in videos. I think it’ll be fun to get her opinion on various vintage stuff. The chickens always show up when I film too. I think they want to be on camera.
I love garage sales. Some people just practically give things away.
Literally give. I went to a sale the other day and picked out two drinking glasses with geese on them. Probably 1970s. The guy said “oh just take those they ain’t worth anything” I couldn’t do it. Had to give him something. I mean he brought the stuff out and put on the table. He hung out in his yard waiting for strangers to show up. Lol.
another great video
Thanks so much! I’m glad your enjoying them. I’m slowly getting the hang of this. Thanks for your encouragement, means a lot. More to come!!
Liz, you’re doing great! Wow can’t believe you found such great stuff. Be sure to list the swing vase for its value! I hope you’re having fun going to sales and learning more about glass. Do you get the adrenaline rush when you find something good? I miss going to sales but maybe sometime soon I’ll be back at it. Enjoy your channel. Take care, Jan
Thanks Jan, I would say there is a definite rush followed immediately by second guessing myself lol. You could check EstateSales.net to see if there are local online garage sales. You place bids and then pick up the items, usually the day after the sale ends. Thanks again Jan for watching!
hi Liz hello from bewdley Worcestershire UK love your videos and you have found and shown some lovely glass .look forward to your next video
Hello UK I hope to visit one day and ride a horse there. Sometimes when the weather is just right I pretend I live there!! I’m learning as I go and thankfully have found some decent pieces to learn from. Thanks for watching and commenting!!
The “Lovers” cup looks like a “Spooner”. My grandmother had one on the center of her table with spoons in it.
Ahhhh awesome thanks a bunch for sharing that. I’ve learned something!!! Thanks so much for watching too!!
The green vase at the end is ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS 💯💯💯🤗🤗
Still researching who the maker could be. I’ve been using image searches on Pinterest and that can be a real rabbit hole sometimes. Thanks so much for watching and commenting I really appreciate it!!
22:12 The shell napkin rings are cowrie shell. Puka shells are small, white, and have a hole. Puka means hole in Hawaiian. It is the end of a cone.shell detached from the rest of the cone.😅
Yay thanks so much for sharing that knowledge. I like 45% know what I’m talking about lol. I will share the cowrie shell info with my family. They’ll love to know. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Maybe other people wanted to shop too. In considerate, what do you want for 50 and 25 cents.
Someone at that table pushed her way in when they opened the sale and cut nearly the entire line. So I pushed back for the snubbed thrifter in all of us. As far as getting near the table I believe I was waiting my turn and not pushing in. Sometimes being raised right is frustrating that’s all. Thanks for watching!!
Loved your video👍👍🙋🏽♀🙋🏽♀ thanks for sharing 😉
