I applied a weather sealant solution to the brick wall and it turned white, what is this and how can I remove it ?

Two years ago built a new house using porotherm bricks, that time used clear coat paint on it for better glossy appeal. After two seasons efflorence, white patches appeared. Now how to clean it and what to do to protect it from future attack.

this is very good, to listen to someone who knows what they are talking about, plus " hands on " experience unlike many others, who really do not have true knowledge and experience, it's a shame that brick / stone work was painted, causing unnecessary problems in the long run, and pointing with sand and cement, instead of NHL lime mortar, which should last at lease 50 years, it is always easier to repoint, rather than renew the brick / stone work.why paint brick / stone work to start with, people painted up a place just for looks, not knowing or caring about the consequences, spalled brick / stone work, permanent damage, let it breath to release the water, before the frost spalls it. I saw a house that was build of Ashlar fine masonry, covered with " artificial stone cladding " looking like giant dog biscuits, what for, ignorance is a shame to spoil some thing well made by knowledgeable experience people over a 100 years ago.

I have painted brick ,but painting brick outside wall doesn't prove water ,so can I do cement pluster without removing painting. Please help me

Need your expert advise sir: My granite floor is dotted with paint that got sprayed when the outer wall of the building was being painted. What solution can I apply to remove the paint. Someone told me I could use thinner. Is that alright ? Kindly help with your advise.

When you stoop to scape starting at waist level and reaching down to do that type of strenuous job I would suggest a rolling chair (one that can be hydraulic )for your team. Sitting this would reduce stress on the back of the worker and prove to be a reduce injury and better proficient production

🦘🦘🦘🦘 ... I found this GREAT IDEA on another site & want to share it if anyone has this same problem & how to fix it. I had a terracotta pot with a wonderful indented fancy pattern etched into it when it was made, around the top & bottom sections of the sides of the pot. It had been well painted with thick black paint then sprayed over with a tough shiny, hard, silver paint over the black, but ONLY on one side of the pot!! I wanted to strip the paint to return it to pure terracotta again & fully preserve the pattern. ................ I read that full strength 🌿🦘EUCALYPTUS OIL🦘🌿 dissolves paint. I found a 50ml bottle in my cupboard & used an old toothbrush to brush in & massage into the paint: small amounts of pure Euc oil. I let it work into the paint, scrubbing it in. Soon the top silver layer dissolved away so I dripped on more oil & used old tooth brush to scrub into the black paint within the intricate etched pattern. Soon the black paint turned to tar like substance as it softened & mixed with Euc oil. I used a small wire brush & a few squirts of WD40 to scrub away the softened tar like thick black paint. WD40 will not work by itself on paint, only use to remove the tar like paint after Euc oil works. It does not take a lot of Euc Oil, use sparingly drop by drop. Clean brushes of build up if needed, with turpentine or WD40 & rub with old rag. Worked well. Used an angle grinder scrub pad on large smooth portion of pot. Wiped it with a good smear of Euc oil & left to soften, then used angle grinder with pad & it came off in one buzz. Cheers.

I would early love to have the layers of plastic paint removed from chalet bungalow as it has in tandem with prevailing , caused considerable damage to one wall in particular, but where do I start and who do I go to?

How much does it coast for repair

Can i add brick over painted brick or should it be stripped first? There's an inlaid area on fireplace that I'd like to make flush. Painted by previous owners

I only have a 3m x 3m piece of wall would you still be able to help me please? l have tried a multitude of poultices and strippers but once the recent topcoat acrylic paint is off the brickwork l have had no success with what's left.
