Hey thank you! Main rod I was using is an abu Garcia salty stage krx2 2-4kg 7 foot 4”, reels a shimano vanford 2500 and the lines xbraid pentagram 14lb it’s really thin think it 0.6 pe

Well done! What size Helix are u running? How was the side scan picture in the port?
I had the helix 10 on that tub worked fine, had to play around with the settings a little. Running in 455khz helps. I have a solix 12” on my new boat and it’s even better then the helix image wise.
-the way you can bite through lines with your teeth ... have to call you the "MACKEREL MAN"

Years ago a bloke made a cat fish spin block top device ice cream container plastic.could of used it on other nasty as Welland flat head head shoe was a ripper as well.

Good little setup. 4.5m is the goldilocks size. Just small enough for creeks, just big enough for offshore, and cheapish to run.
100% very versatile little boat, so stoked with it!

Thanks mate I appreciate it. Both tide changes are my go to but there’s plenty of ground you can find those eddys and abit of slack water. Even drift with the currents cover a bit more ground.
