Anki Algorithm Explained! (This Will Actually Makes Sense)
มุมมอง 11K3 ปีที่แล้ว
In this video, I discuss how the Anki algorithm calculates card intervals. It is useful to understand this as you can use the information and change the Anki settings to suit your individual needs. This video includes an explanation of what happens to lapsed cards (aka forgetting a card) and what graduating a card means. You may have also experienced some weirdness in the intervals between your...

Remnote Review - The Perfect App for Students?
มุมมอง 2.8K3 ปีที่แล้ว
This video reviews Remnote, an app that combines Anki, Notion and Roam research into one seamless note-taking application. It is a great app for medical students and other science-related fields like dentistry. Although it has its bugs and isn't perfect (e.g. the image occlusion feature is only available for Pro users), it has enough positives, making me think it is worth giving a try. Things l...

Hi! I am a Barts first year. I have been really struggling with finding the right study method, at the moment I am trying to cover the lecture material (funmed at the moment) and generating anki cards. But I am spending so much time just making cards, I am looking at alternative ways of studying which is questions banks and not making any more anki/notes. Can you give me some advice on whether question banks like passmedicine will be useful for year 1 at Barts?

This is a really bad video because it DOES NOT touch on what happens when you try to sync. I created multiple profiles and a large amount of cards/notes per profile after seeing this video (I was new to ANKI). Little did I know that this would cause problems when trying to SYNC the cards online when I have multiple profiles and one account. This video SHOULD HAVE included information discussing that aspect - so whoever chooses to proceed with this, knows exactly what they are getting into - so if they still choose to proceed, at least they are aware of the issues when trying to sync.

I tend to create decks as I read the material and realize there's one overarching theme in several different parts, but I realize this after I've already created some cards. Is there a way that, say I can pull up all the cards I want in browse at once, is there a way I can apply a tag to a mass number of cards at once instead of adding it to each individual card? Thanks.

Having family in the UK and lived in the US for the past 25 years, you cannot compare socialized medicine vs total private in terms of salary and quality. In socialized medicine regardless how many patient you see and how well you treat them there is no monetary incentive. In the US, you google the doctor and the hospital, if you see bad rating you simply won't go to that hospital or pick that doctor. So how well the doctor and the hospitals treat the patients can translate huge revenue that will turn profits and salaries. Two weeks ago I was in the UK, particularly Luton. I took family member who had history of stroke to the ER. We were waiting 12hrs to see a doctor. I am not exeggerating. People who called 999 were being dropped off in the ER and were getting in the queue. In the US if my neighborhood hospital is that full, I can drive up to another one and another one or even give them a call and find out if the ER has a lot of people. There is nothing free in this world, nor can you put a price in your health.
