I wonder if Elvis was watching? 🕺🏻
Norm Schater officiated some big games the Cowboys lost.THe 1967 Ice Bowl,Super Bowl 5,this game & SB 10.Like seeing Lilly at 1:08:00
Aww the so called real men playing on pretty lil pampered clean turf pffthh ! Do they have this warmed up for them to ? Back in my day we played on dirt & liked it ! Not this lil half dome pretty golf course pampered stuff !
no linemen with big fat stomachs... nice
love the opening theme music---I wish that cbs could bring it back
I would have 12 years old at this time and do I ever miss those days of pro sports! I can’t even bring myself to watch the political garbage sports today! They really ruined sports today by dragging all the politics, woke crap into the game!
Iconic....great memories
🛵 Those Vikings were really good. At knocking off the best the NFC had to offer and going to the Big Game themselves.
Still so easy to hate the Cowboys.
If the Cowboys had Otto Stowe, Duane Thomas and Calvin Hill, then win this game and beat Miami in the SB VIII
6:24 that's nfl 70's. ole joke "what would the vikings be without cox? 19:07 'my bad" bac at huddle
Classy, no wetspots on field fresh turf, Jack Buck, Summerall. Vikings should consider wearing these "alternate" uniforms without stripes to show solidarity to make teams like Dallas wear dark home uniforms❤😊😊
Sound is bad
Real football! Not wimps running around in hideous U.S.F.L. Trump arena underwear. Incredible to believe Vikings and Bills 0-8 in Superbowls. Bills lost 4 in a row!
This video is very short for an NFL (especially when you consider there are commercials). Does anyone know what is missing? I haven't watched it all the way through.
If everyone remembers the league had to pay off Shula for throwing the Jets SuperBowl with his last Superbowl win in 72. This superbowl coming up after this was the one where they won't give the vikings a place to Practice. Worse yet is to hear the Dolphins claim it was Shula's great game film study and how they figured out the Vikings over pursuit. Yet this genius didn't work the next time they played after the Superbowl. It couldn't be because teh Vikings had a place to practice at of course.
The good ol' days
The play at 51:00 ...Charley Waters contact on Chuck Foreman would be called spearing today
A few things: weird to see the Vikings painted in one of the end zones, in Dallas. Must have been typical for the playoffs back then. Also, Summerall AND Buck?! The two GOATs!
You got all of halftime but none of the third qtr. GARBAGE
Help is on the way
Amazing that all 4 of the Vikings teams that won the NFC championship looked so dominant on both sides of the ball, only to be a clown show in the Superbowl.
4:34. 🎶 "It's tough to put a Muriel down." 🎵 Who doesn't love those classic marketing jingles & the humor from 1970s commercials! 🚬 😁👍
Wow, a pristine copy considering that this was 50 years ago. Almost looks contemporary.
Interesting that, by 1973, cigarettes were banned from TV advertising, but cigars were allowed.
Those 15-yard holding penalties back then were absolute drive killers.
God Bless Coach Tom Landry 🙏 🙌 great teacher and uses common sense terms to deliver the message.
I wish they’d induct Jim Marshall into the HOF before he passes. He’s long overdue
Thank you!
Welcome back Kevin
From Georgia we live the best team in 🏈 Birmingham Americans 1974
I was at this game, alone at the age of 18. I remember driving down to the Cowboys' office, waiting in a short line, and paying $14 for a ticket. That's how long ago it was. Best thing that happened that day, other than Golden Richards running a punt return for a TD, was leaving early and beating the traffic back home. Cowboys just didn't have it that day. And it was nice, two weeks hence, when the Dolphins beat the stuffing out of the Vikes in SB VIII. My dad had a connection in which, if the Cowboys won this game, he could get tickets for the Super Bowl in Houston. Oh well.
48:53 No doubt a concussion...((🧠))🤕
No on screen clutter. Simple Vidifont graphics.
Who is the broadcaster? Sounds like the guy who does the voiceovers for those Subway Fresh Start promos.
These old commercials are priceless. 1973 "America conserve energy and use less" 1983...rails coke off of a hookers ass "America let 'er rip"
So nice when the commercials are left in. Makes this already-nostalgic games even more like time capsules. Hard to believe this was from 50 years ago already. 1:17:28 Everything you always wanted to know about running screen plays, as broken down by Tom Landry. Fantastic bonus stuff.
Now that is the real deep purple of the Minnesota Vikings. Those were the days....
Too bad they dont go back to these classics...
1:15:31 ... *_"see Jeanette Nolan alias "Dirty Sally" in the role that inspired a brand new television series"_* 😂🤣 Dirty Sally is a humorous western television series about a hard-drinking cantankerous old woman and a young former outlaw traveling to the California gold fields in a wagon pulled by a mule named *_"Worthless"_* . The series consists of 14 half-hour episodes that aired on CBS Fridays, 8:00 to 8:30 p.m., from January 11, 1974, to July 19, 1974. Jeanette Nolan stars as Sally Fergus and Dack Rambo stars as Cyrus Pike in this Gunsmoke spin-off. Guest stars include John McIntire (Nolan's husband), Tim McIntire, Jackie Coogan, and Kathleen Cody. Nolan was nominated for an Emmy Award for her role in the series.
I remember Dirty Sally, watched it a couple times. And Jeanette Nolan was on the cover of our weekly TV magazine.
The only game Bob Lilly ever missed. He tweaked his hamstring the previous week.
I remember watching this game, & I seem to remember Gary Larson tearing down one of the banners at the end ? Maybe I dreamt it up ?
1:58:07 I found Mike Tyson's long lost father!
24:19 false start left tackle no first down on 4th and inches

The top teams of today would destroy both of these teams.
Winner in 1st 2 Super Bowls w/ GB, Carroll Dale at WR for Vikings. In the league since 1960, Mr Dale is now 84.
Today's game is a joke. TH-cam removed my previous truthful comment. One day in the near future, there will be a viewer resource that truly allows freedom of speech without censorship.
