I don't believe Church of Jesus Christ latter.
Hello my name is elder green….l
Why are you spending time spreading a false version of Christianity that the Bible warns about anyways?
“Before Me there was no god formed, And there will be none after Me. I, even I, am Yahweh” -Isaiah 43:10 “He saved us, not by works which we did in righteousness, but according to His mercy, through the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit” -Titus 3:5 “…if any man is proclaiming to you a gospel contrary to what you received, let him be accursed!” -Galatians 1:9 The Mormon religion departs from the biblical gospel of Jesus Christ in several crucial areas. It teaches that there exists many gods, whereas the Bible asserts that there is one true God who has eternally existed, and He is the Lord Jesus Christ (John 1:1-5, 14, 18). The LDS church also confuses the relationship of grace and works, stating that “for we know that it is by grace we are saved, after all we can do.” God’s true revelation in the Bible leaves no room for works in salvation: “But if it is by grace, it is no longer of works, otherwise grace is no longer grace” -Romans 11:6. Because of these (and other) divergences from God’s revelation in the Bible, the gospel taught by the Mormon religion is what Paul would call “a gospel contrary to what you received,” and leads only to condemnation and eternal punishment in Hell. The “gospel” that this church teaches is no good news at all. To you Elders, and any who may take an interest in the Mormon church, I encourage and challenge you to compare the teachings of this church with God’s revelation in the Bible. He has said that His word contains “everything pertaining to life and godliness,” and that it will never pass away and will stand forever (Matthew 24:35, Isaiah 40:8). “For the wages of sin is death, but the gracious gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 6:23). God desires that none should perish, but that all would come to eternal life (2 Peter 3:9). I would love to discuss with you guys (or anyone stumbling upon this comment) the true gospel of Jesus Christ and how a person can be reconciled with God.
“Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew mee thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.” James 2:18. You are correct to say we are not saved by works but by Faith and Grace, but Faith is an action word, believing is a passive one. We focus on following Christ's example in the Church of Latter-day Saints of Jesus Christ. Also, Christ is the most important part of Latter-day saint doctrine, we are taught to follow him before all else. And I have a testimony of the church, because it follows the Bible to a tee, there are many things that are mentioned in the Bible that are often forgotten, but the LDS doctrine remembers them and calls back to them. For example, in Corinthians "There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another. 41There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for one star differeth from another star in glory. 42So also is the resurrection of the dead." It mentions something that there are different types of celestial bodies with different glories and brightness in the sky, then it follows this by saying that this is how the resurrection is. This supports the LDS doctrine of degrees of glory in heaven, and this makes sense as all were saved by the atoning blood of Christ, but we are only able to grow from that point on by being like unto him. Another example is found in Peter: "Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin; 2That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God. 3For the time past of our life may suffice us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings, and abominable idolatries: 4Wherein they think it strange that ye run not with them to the same excess of riot, speaking evil of you: 5Who shall give account to him that is ready to judge the quick and the dead. 6For for this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit." This verse supports the practice of baptisms for the Dead and supports the idea of spirit prison and paradise after death as a waiting period before judgment day and Heaven and Hell, because there is an opportunity to have the Gospel preached to you, even after death. This makes sense as well, because God is merciful and just, if he gave one man access to Heaven who was born into a Christian household and chose Christ, but not another who never had a chance to learn of the Gospel, he would not be a God of Justice and Mercy, and this goes against everything the Bible teaches, the same applies to baby baptism, if God subjected an innocent child to the fires of hell for dying in child birth, but not to the baby who was baptized without any actual commitment to the Gospel he would not be Just. Christ himself said that children among all things are precious, and that harming them is similar to tying a millstone around your neck and plunging to the bottom of the sea. Baptism for babies implies that God would send these innocent little one's that Christ himself said were spotless to hell. This is idea is not Just nor Godly. Our teachings are not contrary but supportive of the Bible. Additionally, the fruits of the Church are good, it donates tons to charity, helps so many people in their personal lives, and does so much more. In this Church I see truth, it resembles the Church Christ established on the earth, both in structure and doctrine, and I know it is true because of the experiences I have had in my life with the Holy Ghost testifying to me of the Churches truth, I have had doubts surely, but consistently come back to this Church, and if it was not true, than it never would have survived the intense persecution that it received, nor would have it survived all of the slander and hardship it has undergone. The story of the LDS church closely mirrors the story of Christ and his apostles, both were persecuted heavily, both had their founders killed by believers in the faith who did not care about what God was saying, but only about traditions. The pharisees had Christ crucified and they were the most pious, but they had no open mind what God was trying to show them, Jospeh Smith was killed by supposed "Christians" who were similar to the Pharisees, they killed him, and also killed his infant child by letting the cold winter air in when they took Jospeh, because the infant was sick and could not withstand the temperatures. God reveals things by 2 or 3 witnesses and Jospeh Smith's martyrdom was set in place to support Jesus Christ's. The Book of Mormon is pretty much that second witness of the Bible, everything in it supports what the Bible says everything in it witnesses of Christ. And if it was false, it would have fallen by now, because it faced such backlash and was started by such a small group, just like the Christianity as a whole: 29 Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men. 30 The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom ye slew and hanged on a tree. 31 Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins. 32 And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him. 33 When they heard that, they were cut to the heart, and took counsel to slay them. 34 Then stood there up one in the council, a Pharisee, named Gamaliel, a doctor of the law, had in reputation among all the people, and commanded to put the apostles forth a little space; 35 And said unto them, Ye men of Israel, take heed to yourselves what ye intend to do as touching these men. 36 For before these days rose up Theudas, boasting himself to be somebody; to whom a number of men, about four hundred, joined themselves: who was slain; and all, as many as obeyed him, were scattered, and brought to nought. 37 After this man rose up Judas of Galilee in the days of the taxing, and drew away much people after him: he also perished; and all, even as many as obeyed him, were dispersed. 38 And now I say unto you, Refrain from these men, and let them alone: for if this counsel or this work be of men, it will come to nought: 39 But if it be of God, ye cannot overthrow it; lest haply ye be found even to fight against God. 40 And to him they agreed: and when they had called the apostles, and beaten them, they commanded that they should not speak in the name of Jesus, and let them go. 41 And they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for his name. 42 And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ. We will not stop because we have a witness and a testimony of Jesus Christ in our lives, and our sole mission is to spread his good word and become like him in deed and thought.
@@rickyratthetarpope4021 Thank you for taking the time to respond! I'll respond to each of your points. But first, I noticed that you did not address my first point. The Mormon church teaches that there is more than one God, and that Mormons too can become God one day. This is a belief that is refuted in the Bible (Isaiah 43:10-13, Isaiah 44:6, 45:5-6, 64:4, John 5:44, 17:3, Deuteronomy 4:35, 39). The Mormon church teaches that God was once a man as we are, but the Bible teaches that God has been the only God from all eternity (1 Chronicles 29:10). The Bible also gives a warning to any who would worship any 'god' other than Yahweh, the one true God (Joshua 24:20). James 2:14-26 emphasizes that works are a demonstration of one's faith. One is justified (proven righteous) by the works of their life which validate their confession of faith. Verse 23 shows that Abraham was counted as righteous only because of his faith in God, and verse 24 reaffirms that one's works demonstrate the reality of the faith within. The verse from 2 Nephi that I quoted in my first comment shows that Mormon scripture confuses the biblical order of faith and works. Again, Paul says that to lean on works is to nullify grace (Romans 11:6). You say that Christ is the most important part of LDS doctrine, but the church's view of Christ directly contradicts Christ's declarations about Himself. The Bible teaches that Jesus, the Word of God, has been God from all eternity (John 1:1-5, 14-18, 5:18, 44, 8:54-59, 10:30-33, 14:9-10, 20:28, Philippians 2:10 citing Isaiah 45:23, Titus 2:13). Because there has been one God from all eternity (see my first paragraph), and the Bible teaches that Jesus is God, Jesus has therefore been God from all eternity. That means He cannot be a created, exalted being as the Mormon church teaches that He is. Jesus may seemingly be the most important part of LDS doctrine, but that bears no significant if LDS doctrine has completely missed who Jesus actually is. 1 Corinthians 15:40-49, which you quoted above, uses an analogy of earthly bodies and heavenly bodies to show that just as there is a vast difference in the beauty and purpose (glory) of His created universe, so is there a vast difference in the beauty and purpose (glory) of our present earthly body compared with the anticipated resurrection body. This passage teaches nothing about differing degrees of heavenly glory, but about the simple comparison between the corruptible body we now have, and the incorruptible body of the resurrection that will be given to God's redeemed. In order to arrive at the doctrine of differing degrees of glory, you have to read that doctrine backwards into this text (eisegesis) rather than reading out the true meaning of this text (exegesis). 1 Peter 4:6 refers to believers who had received the preaching of the gospel during their lives, and now await the aforementioned resurrection of the dead. The second half of the verse makes this clear: "so that though there were judged in the flesh as men [past tense, this death and judgment has already occurred] they live in the spirit according to the will of God [they currently live in heaven, where they await the resurrection of the body]". It is appointed for men to die once, and then comes judgment (Hebrews 9:27). That means that there is no preaching of the gospel to the dead, or baptism for the dead, because they have already died and been judged. They too await the resurrection of the dead, and after that time they will accordingly be sent to the new earth, or to the fires of hell. Baptism is a command only for those who have come to saving faith in Jesus Christ, and is to be performed following one's conversion. Because baptism for the dead has no Scriptural support if you rightly interpret 1 Peter 4:6, then there is no longer any foundation or support for your ideas of spirit prison/paradise or a waiting period. Once again, you have read an LDS doctrine back into the Bible; proper exegesis focuses on drawing out the meaning of a passage, rather than reading into it a bias created by a religious doctrine. Additionally, if what you say about baptism for the dead is true, then baptism would be a work that saves a person; my above paragraph shows that there is no place for works in salvation. You say that you see truth in this church, but the doctrines you have listed clearly contradict Scripture. Proper handling of God's word leads to conclusions other than that which the Mormon church has come to. The present existence of the Mormon church despite persecution, hardship, and slander does nothing to prove that it is true. What about Islam? Hinduism? Buddhism? Jehovah's Witnesses? Astrozorianism? Judaism? By your reasoning, each of these religions are true because of their ability to endure. False religions, and false churches teaching false gospels, continue to exist because Satan continues to sow his "doctrine of demons" throughout the world. The mark of truth is proven by comparing a church or religion to God's word, the Bible. You claim that the Book of Mormon is the second witness to the Bible. The Bible says that it needs no second witness, and several times does it give a warning to those who would add "revelation" to the finished canon of the Bible (Proverbs 30:5-6, Revelation 22:18-19). Christ the Son is the Father's final revelation to His people (Hebrews 1:1-2), and therefore no further revelation is needed. You say that you have had doubts, and I praise God for that! The Holy Spirit is convicting you of the error of the Mormon religion, and you shouldn't silence your conscience on this matter. I implore you to consider chiefly my first paragraph regarding the existence of one God, and my third about the eternal deity of Jesus Christ. I admire and appreciate your willingness to have this discussion, and I pray you'll respond to those two points. Read carefully the verses I've presented to you, extract the truth found in them, and compare them to the doctrine of the LDS church. I hope to hear where that leads you.
It is so sad that these fine young men have been so brainwashed all their lives as to actually believe that Mormon crap!
If I may ask, I am not mormon, nor do I live anywhere near Utah. Why do you spread the word of Joseph Smith. He was a polygamist and from the definition, a cult leader.
@@Simslord15 The simple answer is the Book of Mormon. The promise is, if you read the book of Mormon and pray to heavenly father, he will confirm to you that it is true scripture through the power of the Holy Ghost. If the book of Mormon is a true book of scripture, it means that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. If the book was false, it means that he was a liar. Personally, I read the book, and found it to be true. That is why we share the gospel. There are a lot of accusations against Joseph Smith, we do not believe he was a perfect man. We do believe he was an imperfect vessel that the Lord chose to bring forth his gospel again in the latter days. Thank you for your comment :)
@graysonhardman1250 makes sense! Thx for clarifying!
Also, many Old Testament prophets were similar in the practice of Polygamy, Jospeh Smith from personal accounts said he did not want to do this, but he did because God asked him to, why that happened I'm not even sure, but I have faith that God had a reason. The same thing was asked of Abraham when he had to marry Haggai to have Ishmael. Personally, I do not think it could be an untrue cult because Christianity started from Christ who some consider to be a cult leader, but Christianity put out great things, and it has survived the test of time, just like the LDS Church has. Acts 5: 29 Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.

He missed the point 😂 the question is not about other civilization but rather the existence of such claimed gold plates
@@MAA-bk6ci The point of this argument is that Joseph Smith would not have known about the existence of other gold plates. The Book of Mormon is from the 1820s. If you asked someone in the 1820s whether civilizations wrote on gold plates, they would say no. They would say that Joseph Smith made up the gold plates and was a liar. The idea of gold plates was so far fetched and was ridiculed throughout the church’s early days. Today, we know that gold plates were used. This means Joseph Smith found ancient civilizations recording their histories on gold plates before historians in the modern age. Literally didn't happen. Yes I have. Answer this one question. If the American Indians are the Laminates a lost tribe of Israel as the bom states how come American Indians do not have semitic markers in their DNA? How come Joe smuggled guns into the jail where he and his brother died if he was so close to God and would be A god himself why he was afraid to die?
Much as critics and defenders of the Book of Mormon would like to use DNA studies to support their views, the evidence is simply inconclusive. Nothing is known about the DNA of Book of Mormon peoples. Even if such information were known, processes such as population bottleneck, genetic drift, and post-Columbian immigration from West Eurasia make it unlikely that their DNA could be detected today. As Elder Dallin H. Oaks of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles observed, “It is our position that secular evidence can neither prove nor disprove the authenticity of the Book of Mormon.” This second accusation is a silly one. Joseph Smith was martyred for his faith. Some weapons were brought into Carthage jail to fight a mob that broke in and stormed the jail to kill them. Joseph Smith was close to God, and wanted to live to continue to guide the church. But God's plans were different, and he willingly died as a testament to the work that he did on the Earth.
i've just been to see the Book of Mormon. It was brilliant 🤣
It's not a burial ground. All ancient cities have cemeteries to bury the dead. That's a total nothing-burger. Besides, "Nahom" would be the desolate region North of Marib, that actual location has not been found. The words on the altars are talking about nomadic people (Nihimites), not a city. If the city hasn't been found, how can you claim the burial location of Ishmael is found? Lehi's southward journey is up the Nile to Ethiopia. Ethiopia is the Garden of Eden according to Genesis 2:13. The South then East journey is up the Nile and taking the East Nile after Khartoum. This is made clear in the Kebra Nagast. Lehi was commanded to escape Egypt and go to Ethiopia in the Tree of Life Vision. Jews made this migration consistently for thousands of years. Lehi was not unique.

Islam teaches the same thing...so do several other religions. The book should be able to prove itself either historical or logical, or something. But it doesn't. It's a false religion. Open your mind up to that and ask hard questions. Mormonism will fail time and time again

I don’t think that people are denying the existence of the possibility of a gold-plate encrusted Book of Mormon. Just because something is written with a specific element doesn’t mean it’s any truer than something written on parchment, or papyrus, or on cave walls. @@abhaypawar1353 You are missing the point of the argument. The Book of Mormon is from the 1820s. If you asked someone in the 1820s whether civilizations wrote on gold plates, they would say no. They would say that Joseph Smith made up the gold plates and was a liar. Today, we know that gold plates were used. This means Joseph Smith found ancient civilizations recording their histories on gold plates before historians in the modern age. This is a piece of evidence to show that Joseph Smith’s story of the Gold Plates is true. Which means the Book of Mormon is true.
@@graysonhardman1250 Then why couldn’t he show a single person his magic gold plates? Everyone in the world laughs at you people
@@georgeparkins777 Your information is incorrect. He actually did show the plates. There are 11 witnesses who all saw them and testified of their reality.
Jesus and God the father are one and the same. One God 3 persons, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Jesus is God himself. Lucifer is just a powerful angel beneath God/Jesus.
lol. And also lmao
Well ya convinced me ..where do i join...😂😂
A day in the life of a "cult" member and brainwashed servant of the conman Joseph Smith.
@@Sparatakus Did you mean for that to sound rude? Did you mean to embarrass me? It sounds like there is more to that. God bless you. It is not necessary to be unpleasant nor do you need to get up early to practice.
@@Sparatakus There are plenty of books written after deep research that will tell you that. Ignore the truth if you want and stay in your bubble. That is embarrassing to anyone who knows anything about LDS. The bible says many false prophets will come but do not believe them. Closed minded allegiance without questioning is what I call brainwashed. These types pf people always turn to personal insults and name calling. I made no personal insults to you I only exposed the truth about LDS. LDS put itself out there on the web so LDS must expect push back.
i just subscribed. Ur so freekin gorge & delish. ill take a dozen 2 go pls. And yes, ill have fries w/ that lolz. Pah rah pah pah pah, im lovin it. Muah xoxox Las Vegas, NV USA 🙏💙🍎🌈🌼🎶💫🎰🇺🇲🌎💪🐱🐶
But you are trying to convince somebody, the same way you accused other of being close minded for not ‘praying on the Book of Mormon’ you are also close minded but not exploring the possibility that organised religion are selling falsehoods and manipulating the vulnerable. I feel sorry for you
@@kellyhinsen4505 how do you know I haven’t explored that possibility? I have comments turned on so that I can hear other people’s opinions on these videos. That’s a pretty good sign of being open minded in my book. I’m not trying to convince others, I’m trying to share what I believe. There’s many people that don’t understand why I believe what I do, and thats why these videos exist
The is a name of the place in Kafar Nahum which in Hebrew means Village of Comfort. The place where Yeshua aka Jesus did many of his healings You know it in the English Language as Capernaum. It was also the name of the prophet Nahum who prophesied of the coming destruction of Nineveh and the Assyrian empire if they did not repent. So if he had a Bible and actually read it he would be familiar with the name Nahum.
@@alliggins2373 This site of Nahom that I’m referring to here is actually much more south of Jerusalem, and is a burial site. The city of Capernaum is north of Jerusalem.
@@graysonhardman1250even so, there’s a Springfield Illinois and a Springfield Oregon. Just because two places share a name does not mean they are affiliated. Especially when it comes to a region such as the Middle East 2000+ years ago where a word meaning “comfort” would have seemed incredibly desirable to that type of culture and thus led many people to name the place they called home after something like the concept of love, family, or comfort.
I like the 4 JST edits that Joseph would have never know but have been proven right
Could you explain the Book of Abraham?
