While Turin is my favorite and he would probably defeat Hurin thx to his equipment... Hurin was specifically stated to be the mightiest of all men upon his death. Same can be said for Feanor, he was specifically stated to be the greatest of all children. I mean his mother couldnt even handle giving birth to him and his body incinirated upon his death.. his spirit was that powerful.. his creations could also rival those of the Valar. Durin was the first and the greatest of all Dwarves. Id also put Gimli very high on the list. Frodo is superior to Bilbo and very underrated because of Sam. Sam is great and everything Frodo and the world needed him to be.. But ppl forget Frodo dealt with having will of "Satan" to contend with for however long the journey was. Literally had evil itself around his neck. Frodo and Sam are the greatest of Hobbits and one could not finish their journey without the other, their journey makes them the greatest and proves that even the smallest and the least "significant" person can have the greatest of impacts. Merry and Pippin would be the greatest hobbits for combat thx to getting juiced on that ent water, also that big ass hobbit whom invented golf by decapitating a goblin and his head falling into a hole. x)
