Decided to start up a channel mostly about my truck. I like to do everything myself so figured I’d start bringing a camera with me when I do so I can try to help some of you working on the same stuff. Hopefully I can entertain the rest of you with all sorts of other good stuff whenever I’m not working on the truck
Mazdaspeed6 motor swap (no hoist)
Found this video from when we swapped the motor into the speed 6. Story about the car is basically that i had a speed 6 that was rotted out with a good motor and trans. I managed to find another car with motor issues that was the same color so i jumped on it and trailered it back home. My dad and brother came down to visit shortly after and we did this swap in one weekend.

finished up the box jump and finally got to get in some riding. I haven't done 360s off anything but a flyout before so doing it over this was kinda sketchy, mostly because the run up sucks.

Clearing and riding an abandoned trail

Spent a little time clearing out an overgrown mtn bike line at the local mtn bike park. Trails haven’t been touched in a long time but made some progress today rebuilding some of the decent lines. Definitely more to come(and better camera setups instead of rocks for a tripod😂😭)hope you like it and leave a comment or a like if you want to see more build videos

Posted a short sound clip and it got a bunch of views so I decided to make a better video for you guys. And yes I realize how potentially dangerous my current mods could be which is why I only run it on the low tunes and don’t beat on it. The hard acceleration in this video was about 3/4 throttle because of this, but you still can hear that fleece turbo scream. That being said I hope you enjoy ...

Truck has a muffler delete and a drop in fleece cheetah 63 for the lb7 duramax. Turbo went out and decided to just spend the money on the drop in aftermarket turbo I really wanted so here’s what it sounds like before I do anything else as far as tuning and other performance mods

This worked for me as well. I was hitting the gas pedal 3x instead of 5x.

So you didn't have to do any tranny work or engine work?
No, when I did the turbo originally I had no tunes, exhaust, intake ect. Turbo was the first thing I had to replace on the truck and have slowly been adding upgrades here and there since then, but everything worked fine after only replacing the turbo

The service engine soon light is a feature, not an issue. My crank angle sensor can eat a dick. 242k miles.

What size tip you got on your 5 in Axl dump ?
I have a 5 inch now that goes all the way back now to the tailpipe with no tip currently and honestly I don’t think I’ll go back to an axle dump because I think the truck sounds much better with a full straight pipe. All personal preference though

@@tannerpalmer4830 5 years down and no issues at all. I honestly can’t remember what the whole install cost but I can tell you I regret not doing it myself. Shop had my truck for a few months when I could have had it done in a weekend. That was the first and last time I let somebody else work on my truck lol

The first video is a lie, turn on the ignition wait for the oil change light and pump it 3 times was a lie. This guy has got it right 5 times once you turn the ignition on and turn it off eminently done.

Pushing it 3x didn't work on mine. Pushing 5x did it

So your running light is always on right , both of ur turning signals work ? The front in glass and the back orange one too ?
Yes basically the front led is less bright for the running light and goes to full brightness when the signal blinks and the mirror side just blinks as normal. I might do an updated video and play around with a few different things to make this work better for people on a budget like me. If you can afford it I would definitely just get the switchbacks though for the amount of work that’s involved just because they are pretty easy to break and the switchbacks look so much better
I've got 5" straight pipe with axle dump and an 8" tip. As well as the 3" downpipe.

Hey man good video helped me change my fuel filter. No hate, Just a helpful tip for the future when you clean maf sensors, it’s highly recommended to unplug them when you clean it and also instead of blipping the spray cleaner, hold it steady for about 10 seconds on the leads of the sensor, that really blows the shit off of it. It should have some good directions on what to do on the can also. No hate just some constructive criticism!

Ppei tunes but they’re pretty smoky tunes
Little did I know that this was the trip that would be the end of the stock turbos life but better things would be to come check out my other video’s to see and hear the new turbo
Why’s your belt squeak so much is that normal? I’ve got the same truck and it pisses me off
Dominic Arenas idk what it is with these trucks and the squeaky belts. Sometimes the tensioner is the issue or the idler pulley’s but I’ve found a lot of times just swapping the belt fixes the squeaking even when I put the old belt back on that I saved because it looked perfectly fine
What kind of bumpers are those?
Honestly wish I knew because I get so many questions about them but I bought the truck bone stock but with the bumpers and steps already on it
how good was this turbo? any complaints?
Country Customs Racing I absolutely love this turbo and would highly recommend it. I’ve been hauling my dads tractor around lately and it will hold boost and pull up a hill even in overdrive. Overall very impressed with the performance and the sound is like no other👌👍

So using those wrenches to tighten up a filter can puncture the filter! Use a filter strap wrench to tighten up!
Really don’t want to use a wrench at all but it was so slick I couldn’t get a good hand on it. I agree you can definitely do some damage with that style wrench if you really crank on it

Lb7 has a roar like no other. How's the trans holding out? Be careful to 4th to 5th.
grin and bear it - it’s funny you say that because it’s actually getting the trans done now lmao. Unfortunately for me it’s just my luck that someone else had been in that trans before I owned the truck, that didn’t seem to know what they were doing and used some shotty parts.
