I watched this episode on Boomerang yesterday AND I LOVE ITTTT! The ending song is my favourite ❤❤

Tbh most of of the songs from this episode stink but oddly enough Diners for Dinner and Dinner for Diners halfway approaches poignancy. It’s the only song that doesn’t feel completely perfunctory and laughing at its own joke of being a musical (mostly- Scrappy is still catching strays). Most of the emotional heft here is not anything this episode or even this particular show did. I wouldn’t even call it wholly intentional. But this is a ritual that’s lasted decades, across numerous shows and movies, and there’s an odd little feeling of community and family, like these five would happily do this forever. It has the energy of one perfect crystallized moment they’d look back on with warmth and sadness in one of the stories they split up. Am I looking too deep into it? Yes. 100%. But it’s the only song I’d really recommend for a big Scooby fan. Velma’s ‘But I can see you’, Daphne’s support of Velma, and Welker’s fond, aged rumble of ‘Clues Major and minor’ as his characters watches this group do this old tradition stir something.

If anything I feel like Anne’s theme is the Plantar’s theme, it also plays when Hop pop stands up for something right, When Sprig is being brave or courageous, when the Anne & the Plantars are just being cute or fighting side by side together as a family, and even a few literal SPRIVY moments

I'm not saying this as a matter of competition. This is just my own personal taste Amphibia is so much more interesting and enjoyable than the owl house. To me. Obviously. But while i always feel like the owl house is trying too hard (or is the fandom making it look like the show is alot better than it actually is) amphibia has such a better pace and is alot more conforting and interesting Wish i could like both equally, but I can't
