worth noting why saturation makes your bass more audible on a phone speaker; adds harmonics

Agreed, it's kinda like a nerdy thing that's hyper impractical, but the fact it was made is what's impressive to me. Duda really went deep! Wonder how much more there is in here haha

you dont have to over do your 𝐬𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧! I used to always try fancy wavetable and start adding more effects, more macros, more modulations, crazy lfo patterns all trying to make a certain sound I liked but the problem was that I assumed they knew some secret technique that I didnt Or doing some magical sound design they discorvered in an old reddit forum or something lol but the truth was wayyy more simple than that they literally use basic shapes 90% 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦 its like occams razor - the most likely solution is the simplest one they key to their catchy sounds is in the way they combine different techniques together Again, 𝐬𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬... filters, resonances, distortion, eq, compression are the go to tool belt of the best sounds if you can't make 90% accurate sounds with those tools alone, dont worry and start going crazy adding more effects, modulations etc. you're just missing a better grasp of the fundamentals of sound design and how they can call relate to each other And if you've been struggling with these sound design and mixing and how it practically all works for your songs... 1. give me a follow @𝐦𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐬𝐦𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐬 2. comment the word "𝐒𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐃" below so I can DM you more info to help you #edmproducers #sounddesign #ableton #serumvst #xferrecords #edmproducer
These right here ... 1 network 2 share content 3 learn something new or 4 create something new or 5 finish what you already started 1 and 2 will result in 80% of your success… but you only get to 1 and 2 after you can do 3, 4 or 5 effortlessly no matter what you do, your success will boil down to your repetitive, boring, daily actions. When I wanted to grow my first music projects, it was impossible for me to simply because my music wasnt good enough yet. So I needed to make better music - which lead me to focus my effort on how to make more music, more often and make it better each time. ie how to finish more songs faster. and then to boil that down into a repetitive, simple daily action I can repeat over and over to get me more quality music. Its just like a game where you are farming for xp, the more systematic your approach, the easier and faster you level up! Likewise, when I wanted to grow my current project, I had to starting learning about business, marketing, networking, content, advertising etc. But if you are not 100% confident right now that the music you make is similar to whatever is the best in your genre… Ask yourself on “whats holding me back from producing the quality and quantity I know I can” and break it down into a repetitive, simply daily action you can take. Likely, it will fall into either point 3, 4 or 5. And the way you systemize those actions is what determines how efficiently and fast you get to the “next level” in your project. if you want to learn about how my systemized approach to producing and the simple daily actions I take to grow my project works for me and our students, follow me and comment below the phrase “PMP” so I can DM you more info #musicproduction #mindset #musicmarketing

Check these out 👇 1 Learn keyboard shortcuts this is more important than you think and it's something I teach all students sure, you dont need to learn shortcuts to produce well but learning them will save you so much effort and precious inspiration when you are producing, especially when starting new ideas this is cause the second you have an idea or get inspired, its like a ticking time bomb each second that passes by is another second closer to you forgetting your initial idea so shortcuts (as the name implies 😲) literally save you time and inspiration! 2 create templates to hammer home the point to students, I add this is an extension of point 1 however creating templates is KEY to taking your productions to the next level sure you can buy others templates but creating and making your own (or atleast customizing the ones you buy) is such an easy hack to 10x your productions Btw if you want help on creating a template, I have a free training on exactly how I teach my students to you can get it by joining my community for free (link in bio) 3 sound design sessions this is something all my students learn as a major driving point… when you are stuck and dont have any inspiration to work on new or previously started songs… start a sound designing session! this allows you to discover happy accidents, weird sounds and things you use for new songs also, having restrictions on songs can help a lot - for example challenges that force you to use only a single sample, a midi, loop etc. We do these all the time in our community and it helps producers learn more about sound design and their workflow if you wanna take part it's free for the time being so check the link in the bio and join before I make it a pain community and if this was helpful, give me a follow! #musicproduction #ableton #producertips
Good job! Keep it up

Whose your favourite preset maker? Share them below
How do I take 2 specific sounds and combine them rather than taking one and combining a random one
Good question. I don't there is a way to pick and choose two specific sounds - could be wrong) BUT there is a way to select a sound and then have that one sound be priority in randomization. You can do this by selecting hybridize favouring selected preset and then whatever preset you're currently on will be the "favoured" / high priority preset for hybridizing. This way you are keeping most of the elements and qualities of the main preset with some variations from hybridizing Hope it helped, if you have more questions, join the free community in the bio

I've been doing a serum skin tot turn it into a nordlead but it's a lotta work to redo all the buttons and stuff. And individually change all those colours is a PITA. Vital just blew my mind ( again) with how it improves it's functionality.
I felt the same way, the serum skin is a pain in the butt + you can make vital glow so that's fire!

If it's not already obvious... Music is run by the devil. And as a Christian music producer its hard to admit that sometimes Sometimes I get this friction of "should I quit music because the devil is the ruler of it?" As we know, satan is the angel known for music and sound hence his ability to use music to influence us all to negative things that pull us away from God So should I quit music because it's evil and demonic??? My answer is NO!! The reason is because God was the one who gave you the vision of music. Of producing chart topping songs Or playing in big festivals Or making masterpiece songs that inspire others Just because music is the devil's natural ability, doesn't mean music is demonic and you shouldn't pursue it Infact it's the opposite. In my view, God has called you to use music as a way to attack the devil! By winning souls to Jesus Christ by making music which glorifies Him! King David, who defeated goliath, was known for also playing many instruments and making music as a way to praise and worship God! So music inherently isn't demonic, but it sure is powerful for influencing people - hence why Satan uses it against us So, as a producer and music maker, God calls us to glorify Him and make disciples THROUGH our music, sound design, productions, songwriting, etc. Hence why as a Christian and producer, you do NOT need to be afraid of entering into music and growing into a scene that is blatantly wicked It's our job instead as the 'light of the world" to shine God's glory unto those in the darkness... And to share our light with those who need it most Remember, no one healthy goes to a hospital Likewise, no one righteous needs Jesus or God But those who are unrighteous and living with the wages of sin I believe God is calling many of us young people and music producers to step up and shine our light on the music scene To make worship commonplace and praising God second nature through influencing the thoughts of our culture via music May The Holy Spirit be with you and let's become demon slayers with our music 🗡️📖 ✝️🕊️🔥
