Documenting my journey from a postpartum mother to London Marathon finisher! 🏃🏻♀️🏅
I'm Jessica, a late 30-something, barely average mother-runner attempting to navigate my way out of a postpartum rut. I figured that there's no better (or bigger) way to do that than with an epic goal: completing the London Marathon in under 4.5 hours next year.
I'll be documenting my training over the next several months, bearing all in the only way I know how: brutal honesty. It won't be pretty or polished, but it'll be real and, hopefully, inspiring or, at the very least, entertaining. I just hope I don't sh*t myself 🤞💩

Running, Zwift, and Mom Life | Training for the London Marathon 2025
Welcome to Episode 6 of my postpartum-to-marathon-runner journey!
After analysing my fitness data from Cardiff (Ep. 5), my trainers have updated my marathon training plan. This week, I'm giving you a behind-the-scenes look at how I balance a full week of training. From running to pace (and not HR) to surviving my way around Stage 5 of the Tour of Watopia on Zwift. I’ll show you how I mix it all into my schedule as a full-time working Mom training for the London Marathon 2025.
What you’ll see in this video:
- My revamped beginner marathon training plan
- A week of runs and Zwift rides
- Grey hair
- Honest reflections
- Contemplating my life's decisions
I’m learning as I go, not just in training but in filming, presenting, and editing these videos for TH-cam. Your views, likes, and comments mean a lot to me, so thanks for being part of it!

Reality Check: VO2 Max, Lactate Threshold and New Training Zones | London Marathon Prep
มุมมอง 3.2K14 วันที่ผ่านมา
🙈 Can't wait for the comments on this one... I visited the National Indoor Athletics Centre in Cardiff for a comprehensive physiological assessment, diving into data like VO2 max, lactate threshold, running economy, and more to fine-tune my London Marathon training plan. Let's just say the results clearly reflect my status as a newcomer runner, and I’ve got a long way to go before I’m marathon-...
How NOT to do the ZWIFT FTP Ramp Test Lite | London Marathon 2025 Training
มุมมอง 15K21 วันที่ผ่านมา
Curiosity got the best of me, so I jumped into the ZWIFT FTP Ramp Test Lite on my new ZWIFT Ride to get myself an accurate FTP score. 🚨 Spoiler alert: things didn’t quite go as planned…While I’d love to blame ZWIFT entirely, I’ll admit that user error played a role, too! A redemption test is on the horizon, but for now, enjoy the struggle and all its painful glory. Don't procrastinate, donate! ...
The Dreaded Runner's Knee | London Marathon 2025 Postpartum Training

Training for the London Marathon has always made me think about potential setbacks like accidents, sickness, and injury. What I didn’t expect was to face one so early in my journey! Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been dealing with the all-too-common (but dreaded) Runner’s Knee. While it hasn’t completely derailed my training, it has definitely slowed me down and forced me to adjust my pace...

This time, you're joining me for my Sunday long run; a day dedicated to stacking up time in the legs. Unlike my shorter weekday sessions, Sundays are all about slow-burning endurance.
