When i started this video i expected it to not be this emotional. so when i started watching it was good but than towards the end of the bad i started to reflect on my experience in vrchat, the people i met good and bad i have probably met a groomer or p3d0 before i thought about when i was younger this was a few years ago btw i was just a kid and i met this guy on vrc we started dating and it got to a point where we would ERP, i thought nothing of it at the time but now im realizing how dangerous and bad that could have been. im still in contact with him and he isnt good mentally he really just plays vrc all day he basically lives in it.

I get myself onto vrchat in 2018 via meme's, but generally i felt a great expirience and fun making friends and all, unfortunately / fortunately my english at time was shitty as much as my social battery so i preferred to look into smaller instances, i didn't get as much into vrchat even after meeting people from my country, but it changed as i upgraded my headset. Now i can't imagine a single day without vrchat and addons such as (OVR Settings, Standable, XSOverlay), as well to be myself expressive and show my hidden extraverted side that i didn't know existed :3. Now let's just wait for Deckard and wish for innovation from valve! Azeal's videos with people who use VRChat as an escape, and sometimes their only option at socialization changed my perspective on the game, and is also what kinda got me into it, but I used to hold all the grudges you mentioned in this essay while i was an "outsider" to VRChat, good stuff!

easiest way to be mute when not being mute is probably to just say what youre thinking while acting it out while being very self contained anyway, after being stuck with text chat for so many years and programming my brain for text chat and never actually talking to people, switching to voice chat is very abrupt

My Highschool got a DK1 and an elective course of mine was heading a VR lab. Twin 980s and a xeon processor. An awesome PC at the time.

Honestly... When i first started out playing VRChat, I was so antisocial because of my anxiety But it grew on me to actively be more social for both the game and in real life. It was my own social development just playing a game like this and slowly develop social skills because there are some nice people you can meat who will be happy to help develop thise skills...sometimes. I guess I can also thank the world Audience Anarchy made by Jar for that boost into it as well. Being able to actively act out and read a script in a fun and hilarious way is a nice skill to build on. While this did help me, I know it doesn't help others the same way as I know everyone experiences socialism in different ways. This was just my experience as an ASD/ADD adult with social anxiety.

We need more controllers like the valve index, why do vr companies never do anything like it

I've seen the good and bad of VRC; I was a PC user for 2 years, then switches to FBT. When I transitioned to FBT, I basically ate, breathed, and slept on VR. I would drink almost daily, and withdrew from my family and friends. It was a bad time for me and I'm glad I got out of it. On the other hand, there were amazing things that happened for me; I met some VR friends irl, and we had a great time together. I also met my bf through vrc (but we were just friends for a LONG time) and I'm forever grateful for the game as I would've never met him (we're moving in together soon!) We both stopped playing vrc for our mental health, and so we could focus on building a life together :)

It's sad when the biggest concern in vrchat is nudity and sex among the USA users, when in Europe porno mags are uncovered in gas stations. Extreme violence in the media is fine, just don’t show a nipple. Though, there should be a system to separate age between users.

As some one that does graffiti in game constantly I was kinda bummed that the wall was music specific, I wanted to send something in so badly and there ended up barely being any graf there anyway 😭

How do they profit from this? It’s so fascinating to think about, especially imagining what all of this will look like with advancements in technology 20-30 years from now. While I’m more of an in-person, hands-on kind of guy, I recognize the massive untapped market this represents. I just want to get in early, you feel me? Also, does any of this translate into the real world? Like, do you end up transitioning into doing the same things you do in VR with friends you’ve made there IRL?

The vibes of left 4 dead or the last of us from the background music just defines the dread i feel.

If we get to the point that we can’t tell the difference between reality and vr, then vr would look worse than it does now because reality is bland in comparison to not just vr, but most game worlds in recent years. Red Dead Redemption 2 is a major example of games that look better than reality.

Ive been on and off woth VRChat for a bit but only with my recent addition of FBT have I really gotten into the game. And with it I wanted to learn so much more about it all and your videos have been amazing for that. Ive watched almost every single one now and I love your content. Keep up the great work. @17:01 if you just deleted it It might still be recoverable if it was on your hard drive. When you delete something off your hard drive you just delete access to the file. It's not until it gets written over that it is truly gone. Go look for some file recovery software. It just might still be savable...Maybe.
