I don't think this game is coming, I was wondering what happened to this game and then I realized the news of layoffs occured. So I'm guessing this game is suspended. But really this game might not have been the success you guys think it will be. Artistically, the game doesn't have a very distinct identity, this game reminds me of the chinese donghua Soul Land. You have deeply ingrained Chinese elements such names, locale, clothing and ideologies in this game. But the problem is your design screams Western inspiration. I remember the beta I played, it just reminded me of a western show with all the names switched for Chinese names, then gradually the Chinese elements disappears and all players left are Western-themed, cities, locales and people. Then you have this weird conversation revolved around a Eastern themed concept of a savior, it makes everything awkward. The overly realistic design of the characters just doesn't sit well with the theme and the action combat you guys wanted to create. The combat seems overly try-hard at being action, when this is cooperative game, that means team work. If your character can do everything a team can do, then how do you cooperate? Just by giving bosses bigger HP pool? The gameplay just doesn't natural. Maybe your effort is better served by making an actual Perfect World game based on the novel, rather than an mmo. OR perhaps relegate your effort to more smaller cooperative game, rather than an MMO. But these are my honest thoughts, not very well organized and perhaps won't reach anyone.

This game looks awesome.

One of the best games and one of my favorite games ever. Nothing really stands or comes close to PW. I miss it and all of my fellow PW nerds.

Combats are awesome at first, but they get old quick. MMOs are all about hanging out with friends and teaming up, the OG PFW is still top-notch (before the crazy updates). This new one feels more like a solo game, just like the other trendy MMOs out there. I'm totally down to play, but I'm not gonna spend any money on in-game stuff.
