I just recently bought a 92 Ford Ranger with a 3.0 V6 with a 5-speed manual transmission for 1500 dollars from a tow yard. It's runs like a champ, no overheating, and no oil burning starts up every time . Im never getting rid of it . Your truck is nice bro keep up the good work !

Did the big Ford truck at the start of this video originally come with a chime or a buzzer since normally XLT models for the big Ford trucks from 1987-91 would come with a chime instead of a buzzer?
I think it did come with a chime originally because it is an XLT Lariat. Maybe it was switched out sometime throughout its life.
@@nolanboyd720 But most XLT trucks from 1987-91 no longer have a working chime module at all so the owner may have put in a classic buzzer just to have a warning sound for the key in the ignition.

The only reason I found and watched this video is my grandpa had an 80s Ford Ranger and that buzzer is nostalgic for me. Reminds me of summer rides down to the hardware store with papa.
Does the 93-97 cup holders around the shifter fit right in or do you have your modify anything to make it fit?
They fit right in, same screw holes and everything!
I picked up this same exact model from a one owner and the one I have is silver with the grey leather interior. Since I picked it up, just went through and had everything done that needed to be serviced wise and blacked out the windows and put in a navigational system and boy that system really blows the stock one away and you don't have to exchange the stock speakers if they hadn't been molested or aged to badly. Looks like you picked up a nice one also.

How did you do the hubcaps with the ford logo?
I bought some Ranger center caps off Amazon, then I went onto eBay and bought some ford logos that fit the diameter of the center circle of the cap.
Easily a $25,000 truck. I'll give you $4,000 for it!
The trucks sold, however i did sell it for $4,200. I really doubt it would even come remotely close to $25,000, maybe if it was an artifact found millions of years from now.
Some have sold for more than that if they're real clean.
Ok will the interior light still come on when you open the door? I have a 1995 that the previous owner must have removed something because it does not chime or buzz but the interior light nor the cargo light work.
If I were to guess he removed the little buttons on the front inside door jamb. If the wires are still intact, you could get some of those buttons at a junkyard and install them. I doubt you could get them new.
Do you think I could by pass it like I have done with the seat belt chime in all my vehicles?

@@nolanboyd720 I jumped all of my vehicles where it thinks the seat belt is plugged in even when it isn’t. I did the same thing with my lawnmower so it wouldn’t cut off every time I cut a ditch and had to shift my weight a little or get up to move something and start back. I just found the plug and wired a jumper in it and taped it up and it’s worked for 20 plus years.

Sorry, the truck sold a while ago.
Purchased my 1987 Ranger on 10/31/86...just took it out of storage after it sat for the past 6 years and is in the shop for a new fuel pump and a few other repairs....looking forward to getting it back on the road.
I just bought myself one for $500! It ran when it was parked in 2010, it has 68,324 miles on it. I tested out the electronics yesterday and all lights, radio, ac, and horn work! I can't wait to get it running again!
I have a 90, got it with 71K. Post hibernation issues worked out it runs gloriously. Need to put bulb in radio but it’s stuck.

I like the nostalgia of it, but when your trying to hear a specific sound in the engine bay or to hear if your fuel pumps working. All you hear is “buzzzzzzz” and not what you need to.
@@nolanboyd720that is exactly what I am currently battling. Can’t hear anything but that stupid buzzer while I’m trying to troubleshoot fuel pump/ relay or other problem. No other video on the net for older vehicles in this regard. Thank you!

Yours is very similar to mine. I gotta 1990 Ford Ranger XLT, except mine is automatic.
What kind of rims are those?
American racing outlaw ii AR62 rims. They are stock with the alloy rim option. The center caps are new, and I got the ford decals from eBay.
