    I draw the ball and hit it straight when i try to fade it. My Normal ball flight is to the right anf draws back to center. It's killing me that i can't fade it. My clubs are forged with no visible offset so you would know thats not why im drawing. Any ideas.

    It's shocking to me how many golfers don't understand this. Understanding face angle to swing path is probably the single most important thing you need to know about playing golf and it's not rocket science, black magic or voodoo.

    The number of people who’ve been playing for years who don’t understand TNLOB is mind boggling. They make the game so much easier. It’s also important to understand how loft affects ball flight laws as well as the gear effect.

    Many top pros and teachers instruct to take the grip with the club off the ground. Usually with the club head above the hands. Getting it more in the fingers.

    Lets put aside all the discussion about "open relative to what"... Did you know, that before trackman era, all pros where sure that when they hit a draw they have face CLOSED relative to the TARGET? That is the feeling. Face must FEEL closed before impact. That is all what you need tp know.

    When the guy was asked: "Is your face open or closed at impact?" The guy's response should have been: "Open or closed in relation to WHAT?" Because it would be OPEN to the TARGET but CLOSED to the path of the swing.

      No, he did not. You don't understand the relationship between clubface and club path. Most people in this thread don't get it either. You're not alone. The problem is the video is too short so you're not getting the entire explanation.

  • @babyjesus1657
    @babyjesus1657 หลายเดือนก่อน

    NO. On driver no matter what if your face is open your slicing this is just poor

    • @leemzgoogle917
      @leemzgoogle917 หลายเดือนก่อน

      TOTALLY NOT true. For a right hander to hit a proper draw, the face should be OPEN to the target but CLOSED to the path you're swinging on (which should be slightly in-to-out). So, you could have the face open 3* but if you swing in-to-out 5* then your clubface is actually CLOSED by 2* to the PATH of the swing. This will produce a draw. Doesn't matter if it's a driver or an iron.

  • @rjlovell1

    This guy contradicted himself several time in the span of 2 minutes. Open club face to hit a draw? Never heard that one.

    • @dustinmiles8547
      @dustinmiles8547 หลายเดือนก่อน

      What he is explaining is how the face controls the starting line of the ball. Yes the club face should be open to the target line and closed to the path to hit a draw. If you haven’t heard it, now you have.
