However, India need to strengthen accountability mechanisms for security forces to ensure compliance with human rights standards and promote dialogue-based conflict resolution strategies in insurgency-affected regions. It should address systemic social hierarchies like caste and religious discrimination through impartial governance and social justice policies. It should also reinforce federalism to accommodate regional aspirations within the broader democratic framework. This tension between state authority and democratic accountability is intrinsic to any pluralistic democracy. It vary globally across nations.
