VIP Stay at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort | Room Tour | Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto | ’Ohana
I’ve had the good fortune to celebrate two milestone birthdays at Walt Disney World - both included stays at the gorgeous and tranquil Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. Here we’re featuring some of my favorite adventures with the East Coast ohana, including our party at Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto, where we met Beth from @VillainsandVice for the first time.

That wallpaper is perfect. Is it really that easy? I have a few bathrooms that I’d like to wallpaper.
It is! I did one wall in an hour. The other in 2.5-but that included yanking the toilet. (Vacation Mike can do that part!😜) One thing I wish I’d known: because Spoonflower makes its peel-and-stick paper to overlap instead of butt up, your light source COULD illuminate the bare edge. So, if you already know how your main light source “falls” on the wall you’re papering, apply your paper so the bare edge is away from the light source. That way, the bare edge will be in shadow rather than in light. I didn’t know what the lighting was going to be until after I started, so there is an edge that’s visible under direct light. Fortunately there’s a lot of art that will be going up, so the bare edge in question should be hidden. Pixie dusted away as us Disney fans might say.

At the Palm Breeze Bar? Or Sam’s? That was a crazy day. I have been to the resort countless times, covered many events, openings, re-themings, etc., and this day was tornadic almost!

Hey Adi! I hate cilantro with a passion. At a newspaper I once worked for, I wrote an entire column on my dislike of cilantro, or as I call it, Devil Weed. Here’s the funny thing: the largest producers in California, my home state, are Ventura, Monterey, Santa Barbara and San Benito counties. I have worked for news organizations in two of those counties!
