Having grown up living on a tidal creek in Charleston, I can tell you that 99% of the time, what's stealing your bait in areas like that are just little pinfish. The mouths are tiny enough that if you're using shrimp they take multiple nibbles and never bite the hook. But if they don't get your bait and you're bottom fishing around structures like that you're likely to catch either a catfish, toadfish or an eel. None of which most people ever want to see on the line.

what is the best time of year to fish eels on waccamaw river,and what is the best place to fish eels,tanks

I'm afraid the fishing is awful there are no lakes within half an hour of my home the beach is taken up by swimmers, and the saltwater they charge three dollars per hour for parking, to fish the piers it will cost you $20 per day, this summer we had a storm the freshwater river has logs and debris floating down so it's very hard to fish I have been spoiled in Pennsylvania.

Folks, it looks like Marsh Creek. Its unfortunate when someone creates a channel. Shows an awesome spot, but tries to hide the location to his viewers. Maybe you are expected to just watch the guy have a blast, but you're on your own. Like one of those kids growing up who refused to share his toys.😢 If things work out, i plan to do a channel and will happily share the locations with anyone who asks. Blessings All !

Hey Ed how is the overall fishing compared to pa?

About 6 months ago a couple were flying their new drone and got it stuck up in a tree in the park just like you. Well, I got it down in three casts. They were happy!
