Unboxing a $1,000 pair of Boots! - Nicks Builder Pros
If you can find somewhere in Canada that sell a boot dryer from "Peet Dryer" it takes really good care of your boots while it dries them. Best boot dryer I've ever had. It's made in the US, but i hope you can find one floating around.
I want to tell your son that he is a good camera man to begin with. Everything will be better in the next videos😉
Glad to see a pair of celastic toes, was curious to see how they’d hold up after a year. Was considering steel or celastic toe, but was worried to steel toe would make my toes crease uncomfortably when walking. I prefer the toe to stand up rather than fold back and down over time. Might consider the celastic after watching this video.
I really like the celastic toe. I don't work in construction so I don't need a steel toe, but I like being able to move furniture around the house and know I can rest a dresser on my toe for half a minute without worrying about anything bad happening.
Hit them with some saddle soap before conditioning next time. It’ll help extend the life of the boots quite a bit.
for sure! i hadn't thought of that, i'll get some for the spring when i treat them next. thanks!
Good video. I would recommend cleaning your boots and letting them dry before putting on any conditioner or waterproofing.
I don't think the work leather is thicker, just a little stiffer. I have a few boots made with that Seidel work leather and I prefer it. The softer leather is nice but if I'm going to be doing all kinds of things (work, etc) I just like it better. It's not as pretty as some of the other offerings but it works great.
Yeah, i was worried about having a really long break in time and that the work leathers would make the boots heavier. if i ever get a second pair I'll definitely be getting a work leather .
I just ordered mine from AliExpress yesterday
Great video! Can I suggest Obenauf's for leather protectant? In my experience, it's the absolute best for anything leather. Also, sheepskin insoles can make a huge difference for keeping ja warm :)
Thanks! I'll have to look into the Sheepskin insoles. :)
👍
May I ask what network do you use like T-Mobile Verizon AT&T boost mobile what network is compatible with doogee v max plus
I'm in Canada and I use Rogers. I'm not really sure what that network would be comparable to in the US. I'm going to do a 1 or 2 month os usage review soon.
OK, thank you cause I am here in America and I don’t know what network to use
Perhaps AT&T?
Wrong. Not Seattle they are in Spokane
Beautiful work, I see a blue ribbon ahead
Thanks! I'm crossing my fingers!
Bad ass man. Did ya make the hat?
Thanks! You're right, I made it from the same leather & thread as the jacket. It's become by "Go everywhere" hat haha.
That's a cool backpack Aaron
Thanks! It was a little frustrating at first but the next ones I make will go a lot smoother.
Look at the video on how to lace you new Nicks boots! The way you have them now is completely wrong!
Wow! They are absolutely beautiful! Congrats, man. Thanks for sharing your video.
Watch their video on how to fold the tongue and how to lace. It will be even more comfortable. Very nice boots. I love that color!
Nicks doesn't sponsor any channels. They don't have to. The backlog in production tells you they cannot keep up with the demand. Enjoy ur EPIC boots.
Great video. Keep us updated on your 3-6month review.
I hope you figure out how to properly fold his tongue and lace his boots up the right way. Holy moly.😂
I’m working on the same issue with my whites!😂
I have used Obenauf's for years and it works great that is what Nicks sent you in the grease and I use the Obenauf's liquid oil to soaks into the leather and the grease is for water repellant and good horse hair brush off every day after wearing and let them dry over night not in front of heat source !! They will get better ever time after you break in your never want a mass produced boots again !!
I love nick boots and Whites too you not only Resole they offer a Rebuild they replace every thing for lower part of the boots and the upper shaft will be used for 1/2 the price of new pair of boots I just keep good care of the leather and they will take care of you feet !! Congrats Man really enjoy the break in after they will fit like a glove Happy new year !!
If you haven't done it already, don't use mink oil on your boots. It will darken them. Kinda defeats the purpose of choosing the 64 brown. Use neetsfoot oil to protect the boots and keep the color. Unless you want to darken them.
If you fold the tongue over in an “S” pattern, the tongue won’t bunch…will be way more comfortable. There are many videos on this. Some people just tuck the tongue in on both sides so it it flat, but I find that it hits my ankles just right to cause some pain…the S-fold eliminates that.
S-fold is best-fold
Why don’t they just not make so much excess material in the first place
Gorgeous boots. I have 2 pair of Nicks, Overlanders in your same 1964 brown and their MTO shrunken bison in chocolate. Love them both. I'm sure this is too late now, but I hope you folded the tongue over properly to wear them after you made this video. th-cam.com/video/3V1T_VxRU64/w-d-xo.html Congrats on your new boots!
I bought the same exact boots in the 1964 brown and the only difference is I got the honey vibram sole on mine. I originally bought them to work in but deemed them too nice for that and ordered another pair in black rough out leather instead lol.
Jeez cut those nails, dude
Nice job dude! (pssst. It's Spokane)
Very nice Nicks unboxing video! What a nice pair of boots, 8" , 1964 Brown, I think there perfect for your needs! Enjoy them!
Beautiful pair of BP's i know theyll serve you well!!👌
Ooo, the end result looks really good and the process seems fun. I saw on your LinkedIn update that you were posting DIY content and had to check it out. Hope to see more soon!
