Lessons from a Challenging Year: Conversation with World Language Teachers
Join members of the Conference in the Cloud team* as they reflect on some of the silver linings of the past year. While teaching remotely/hybrid/socially-distant in-person wasn't something we would have chosen, we've all learned from our situations and want to share what we plan to keep in place for the new school year. Before we bid adieu to this crazy year we want to take some time to remembe...

So you have to do this for the whole class every single day??? It seems exhausting after a while to be ON every time..
This is Comprehensible input but I spotted a little error. Instead of “un serpiente” it is actually UNA serpiente. La serpiente = una serpiente. I think it’s important that the teacher delivers indirect grammar correctly as well. The rest is as should be. Well done!
Increíble !!!!
Venezuela libre!
Awesome
Speaking Mandarin only is indeed a good method. But she needs a much better video/audio recording.
Awesome teaching skills, he has my respect.
This woman is the best kind of crazy. Super cool energy
How has no one ever seen this and commented before? GREAT JOB on Story Telling. Jason Fritze - one of my favorite teachers.
que clase tan divertida :)
When is your next one?
July 5-9 on Zoom! expressfluency.com/product/summerworkshop/

Snake is femenine in Spanish
Una clase fantástica. Muy simpática y divertida. Enhorabuena !!!
Sounds cute, but half my class doesn't show their face so I am not sure that would work too well for me.
Súper!! Lo voy a usar!! Gracias! Great Sr. Wooly references!
Me gusta
Pero es LA serpiente no EL serpiente 😅
¡Sí! ¡Me di cuenta después!! :-(
Cierto!!
Linda Laoshi is truly a TPRS mater teacher!!! :)
She’s amazing right?! I love your videos as well. Unconventional Chinese Class is awesome.

¡Hola Eliis!
Loved the billy bufanda en el carro
Used this for school, thanks!
Usas tu tele? Como los subes?
Uso mi teléfono y puedo subirlos directamente a TH-cam. Uso iMovie si tengo varios "clips"...¡suerte!
This video scares me. Thank you
It really is terrifying.
Our teacher is using these for our class while we are out of school as well. ¡Gracias!

awwww! ¡Gracias! I just now saw your comment :-) You are an inspiration!
Me divertí viendo tu clase 😍💕
¡Gracias!
This is a gold mine for Communication! And very funny... by the way this reminds me of the Late Show when Steven Colbert and his guest Bryan Cranston take the entire audience through the streets of New York on their way to see him perform To kill a mockingbird... of course they never got to the theater but the journey was hilarious.
Hey Marc! Just saw your comment 7 months later! ¡Gracias!
What fun!
Love this!!!
not helpful if we don't know how you got them to this point........day One presentation
Hi Doug, there's some background about the class and this lesson here: indwellinglanguage.com/something-from-nothing-video/ As you'll see there, this was not a generally recorded course, and I found out this bit would be recorded about 30 seconds before recording began, when someone walked in and held up their cell phone as though to do so. I would love for someone to have done the same during the prior part of the class! As to whether this clip is outright "not helpful," I'm happy to report that lots of people have let me know it was helpful indeed; here, in fact, is a letter someone wrote telling me just how useful they had found it and how they applied it to their own classes the very day after they had seen the video: indwellinglanguage.com/letter-from-tim-something-from-nothing/ I'm sorry I didn't see your comment immediately in order to provide that info and any questions you may have had. (This is not my channel, so I don't receive notifications when someone comments; I noticed your comment just now when retrieving the link to share with somebody.) I wish you all the best in your teaching and learning!
Me encanta espanõl...
Great Video!
Iocus vidētur!
what method she is using in the video??
She is using comprehension-based methods. (Teaching with Comprehensible Input)
CI-Comprehensive Input method.
There are many more videos from this class on the VI Liftoff TH-cam channel. They are tagged Express Fluency. :D
Is there a 'day 1' video anywhere? I've searched in TH-cam, your web, and googled Everywere-in-the-net, and couldn't find it. Gratias vobis!
Sorry! No Day 1... I popped into class on the second day and captured this.
Man, what an amazing job you are doing there. I never thought I would see the Latin language taught through storytelling, which is a technique that makes even experienced teachers of modern languages a bit uneasy. I'm really enjoying the Quomodo Dicitur Podcast! It was the input that I needed. Thanks.
@@ernestoberger7589 Hi Ernesto, I just noticed your comment after coming here to retrieve the link for a friend. (This isn't my channel, so I don't get comment notifications.) Thank you for your kind words. I'm glad you found this video helpful and that you're enjoying the podcast, too!
Hi, where did she get the story from?
probably just made it up. Seems like she uses the same coffee stuff for most of her intro lessons
Fantastic teaching! Thanks!
