Hello :)- I moved to Vegas from the Bay Area back in 2011 and I only moved here to be closer to family and then they bailed on me after the pandemic. If you are thinking about moving to Vegas, you might as well go to California which Vegas has become.

wanna move to Vegas so bad. From the midwest where my 80k annually is a decent wage. I would barely be covering 3X rent at 2100 a month. * sigh* Im never getting to Vegas

So tired and fed up with conversations stating that Las Vegas is not Summerlin and Summerlin is not Las Vegas! Without Las Vegas there would be no such place called Summerlin period. Segregation, segregation, segregation in Las Vegas is extremely outrageous and judgmental! When you say your a local resident in Vegas the immediate question is what part of Las Vegas do you live at. If you dare respond to living in North or even East Las Vegas your immediately written off as not living in the right parts of Vegas. Every part of Old and New Summerlin acts like they are high all mighty and not apart of Las Vegas. Well there's News to those people they are Never going to be Beverly Hills nor Santa Monica Beach. All of Las Vegas will always be a big mega sand box no matter how many million dollar homes they build on it. One rainy flood will most likely wash them all away. As the saying goes in Vegas, good Luck with that!

But on the positive side the orgies and drugs are truly fantastic!!! 😂😂😂

Lived in Las Vegas to 2004 and moved back. If there is one thing I didn't take into account it is the traffic. I can deal with the traffic but the super aggressive drivers really make it stressful to be on the road. The drivers are impatient. Don't want to let you in. I have resigned myself to just take surface streets. Believe or not you save very little time taking the highways.

A City built on greed

about 8 years ago, I moved to Las Vegas. I taught elementary school. I taught at Agassi Prep. I quit after 2 months and moved back to Washington state. The bad in Vegas--bad drivers will run you over when you walk across the street in a sidewalk with a light, no opportunity except to work in a casino, nothing to do except bowl, gamble, or watch a movie.

Red Rock now needs a RESERVATION. Mt. Charleston also overcrowded and no parking. Have lived here 24 years and downward trend is evident. Not alot of ready or easy fun trips anymore 😢

We moved here 4 years ago for a 6 figure job. Extreme Heat, crime is getting worse and doctor shortage. Not much to do except at the strip. Has to drive at least 5 hours to the next State. We are planning to move out in few years👍

No state income tax. 👍 Too many Republicans. 👎 Henderson, especially Anthem Country Club. 👍 Too many Republicans. 👎 World-class shopping. 👍 Too many Republicans. 👍 World-class restaurants. 👍 You guessed it, too many garbage Republicans. Verdict? A fun place to visit but live there? No way.

I must have a lot of patience and determination? But I should have left like atleast 30 yrs ago? I healed emotionally from family problems, but it's very Boring here after all is said and done, and REAL friends you can count on, is non-existance!😵‍💫 Too much concrete, and a lack of green vegetation! The Climate is intolerable, period!

I read stories mostly people that are retired move to Las Vegas it's very cheap affordable no one really bothers you except in a bad areas like and every city you go to it's all the same thing people in the Northeast move to California and the West if that doesn't work they move to Florida and look what just happened to Florida and North Carolina and the rest of those States they've been destroyed it's going to take so many years to put it back again then what happens if another storm comes in and destroys it over again everything's on climate control maybe 🤔

Worst place for families and children, no ressonably priced family recreation, brutal on pets. Sunstroke. 117 degree heat, 350 dollar electric bills and they say mine is cheap, no discounts for locals anymore but you get tourist pricing, 20$ to park, 400$ parking tickets, no civic life at all, no one knows who they are voting for and elected officials like it that way, most people last five years or less, 20% turnover in population per year, worst schools in the nation twenty years running, no public transportation, worst transit company in the country, no professional services, las vegas gets culls from other states, disbarred attorneys, bad doctors if you can find one. One level one trauma center in the State, Three cities, seventeen counties, an absurdly small legislature, you are moving to the middle of nowhere, everything has to be shipped in, ordinary car parts have to be ordered from Phoenix, food prices are twice other places. No good restaurants for locals, no local food scene, and absolute backwater. Las Vegas is a small town compared to Atlanta. No amenities no community walls everywhere, you will live inside with your security system on looking out at a dime sized back yard. Locals stand twenty feet away from a bus stop not at it, absurdly dangerous place to live, high percentage of professional criminals to general population. The economy is drying up and everything is closing, 7% unemployment rate. And if you have any addictions you are toast if you move here.

Well, I don’t wanna hear any of that because I am about to purchase a property. It went into escrow and move to Las Vegas. It sure is better than California.

I moved here just before the summer of 1999 and that summer they had at least five to ten incidents where people had left children in a car and came out and found them dead. There are NO regrets for moving here. I love this city!

Visit Vegas at least once a year with friends and family that live there and and the one thing that would keep me from moving there is some of the people well alot of people are rude even in the casino's.

I think if you wanted to build on a lot in Mount Charleston then you might also consider going completely off grid and live out in Cold Creek. But until I sell the domains needed for a Finserv that calls itself Vegas Pay, I have to admire Mount Charleston from TH-cam.
