I built Sid's Bedroom from Toy Story - Toy Story 1/12th Scale Diorama
I got this AWESOME figure of Sid from Beast Kingdom so I had to build his bedroom!
This is our first Disney Pixar Build and hopefully not our last!

I'm a complete noob 😅and I don't even know what material to gather for projects I have in mind 😕 do you have maybe a video or a guild of what best works for these minitures ? ❤
i still feel that way quite often lol. I don't have a video like that yet because I feel like I'm not skilled enough but I can type a quick little list and recommend the person that I follow on what material to use. xps foam (you can get this from the hardware store. it's pink at Home Depot and green at Lowe's) -balsa wood (this is very common but I now porefer to use the XPS foam and use a hot wire cutter to cut it into thin pieces -foam poster boards from dollar tree (gotta peel the paper off before using it) -cereal boxes -cardboard -match sticks -Popsicle sticks -acrylic paint (buy the cheap stuff from the craft store or walmart) -xacto knife -mod podge -card stock -foam clay (I got a pack on Amazon) -super sculpy clay -hot glue gun -super clue -white glue -card stock -sticker paper -construction paper -self healing cutting mat -paint brushes (get a big pack of really cheap ones) there is a channel called "black magic crafts" and he has a video listing all of the beginner supplies

@@NerdyBuilds yes! It doesn't even matter what kind of build for me lol. It can be Legos, dioramas, woodworking stuff, PCs, setups, etc. It's my favorite type of video to watch on TH-cam lol

My first time seeing anyone do something for Bob’s Burger. Usually it’s TMNT OR MARVEL. So cool to watch something different and it come out great. So AWESOME!

My question is how did you calculate the scale relative to the figures? Ive been trying to make my own diorama in 1:3 but i cant figure out how to get the dimensions
One of the things that I often do is look up the real world dimensions of an item and then just do the math to convert it to whatever scale I'm looking for. Most of the items that I've purchased for this video were 1/3 scale because they were made for a particular doll sold at Target. So I would say if you're buying items just try to find stuff that you can hold next to whatever diorama or figure and if it looks like it matches close enough then go for it. And then for the walls and stuff I just kind of based it on looks. If the wall look tall enough for him to stand next to then I was fine with it

What kind of foam is used? Where can you find it?
I used XPS foam. You can find it at either Lowe's or Home Depot. The Lowe's brand is green and the Home Depot brand is pink.

Awesome work! How did you get all the furniture items and especially the miniature boxed figures?
Thanks so much!! Since I was working with 1/4, I used the furniture from the Our Generation toy line at Target. I customized the paint job. And for the mini figures and stuff, I used world's smallest items. They are my absolute fave!!

That's dope, the size is perfection! I'm so excited about creating a diorama for the first time but I haven't even started getting supplies for it. I think I'm capable of executing the look but I've never tried a lot of the techniques I'm researching, like a river and pine trees, if you check it out you'll see how dope they look. Quick question, what is the height and width of your diorama in this video? I'm trying to visualize what I need to create. Thanks!
