Surprising Way To Make Extra Money For Vacation

Surprising Way To Make Extra Money For Vacation
I would like to buy meat in bulk, I live in the state of Florida, i really want to buy from a decent farmer, beet, chicken.. can anyone help
Thank you for sharing! How cold was it?
It was 60-low 70’s during the day 30’s at night. To us the perfect hiking weather!!
@@TheKoppSquadgreat! Thanks
I can hardly believe you got all that meat from a quarter of a cow!
This was a half a cow :)
This is wonderful. I fully support buying from local farmers. Oh, can you please give the contact information on where you purchased the half cow? 😊
Yes! I buy local as much as I can! It was bought from Beitzel’s Meats in Ohio!
@@TheKoppSquadThank you so much!🙂
Ahhh! I love it 😍 I wound up with a bunch of almods and have been wanting to make almond milk creamer with them. I think I'll probably use this recipe! Thankyou! 😄
I would love to hear which gift you would love to have or find most useful in the comments below!! 👇 🎁🌲
I had a sleepover today and I have that bag so I used it for the night
Have you visited Arizona? What was your favorite part of your trip?! We absolutely loved the hiking in Sedona!
Yes I buy bulk packs at Sam’s. There are only 2 of us now. I used to buy half cow.
@@glennagoss7335 We love Sam’s club! Sometimes we would buy the meat in large packages then vacuum seal to smaller portions to save money!
Nice video, thinking of doing the same in the coming year, what size freezer do you have
Thank you! It is a 10 cubic ft freezer! Buying local and in bulk is definitely worth it!!
My hubby is a cattle farmer in SW Ohio and we appreciate you, and everyone, for supporting your local farmers! It’s why we can continue to do what we love.❤
Thank you for all you do!!
Let’s embrace the spirit of Christmas with love, laughter and holiday cheer…….I absolutely hate Christmas lights!!!!! Sounds cheerful to me 😂
🤣 I should clarify hanging them up is what I hate!!
What is your favorite part of the Holiday season?!
most of your butcher shops also have what they call boxed meat where you can get a bunch of different parts like chicken, pork and beef.
Yes great point! Ours does that too!
Your friends must really like you. We spent $1500 on a half cow and only got about 240 pounds of beef (not hanging weight) but final package weight.
You got taken on that half
Was that 430 pounds of beef after processing or hanging weight? If it is after processing that is a great price! Prices here are around the same, maybe a little more, but that 430 pounds would be hanging weight, not actual ready to eat beef. So, it ends up being anwyhere from 7.00-10.00 per pound.
It was the hanging weight!
Was this grasa fed, grass finished organic beef?
This was grass fed grain finished beef
Great job and price! Where are you located? Does your rancher/butcher ship???
I am located in central Ohio. Unfortunately they do not ship. We are so lucky to have a great butcher shop close by!
I have two freezers and I find it necessary to keep written lists of what is in each freezer. If I don't do that I'll forget what's in there or what is where in which freezer.
That’s a great idea!!
Great video, thanks!
Glad you liked it!
Do you raise your own meat birds?? I would love to hear about it in the comments!! 👍
how much did half cow cost (with all the packaging)
It was a little under $1700. It was 432 lbs of meat
Just me and my husband at home now. We buy 1/4 of beef every 6months and just bought 1/2 hog. Knowing where your meat comes from for us is a game changer . Always support local farmers.
Yes wearing leather winter gloves 🧤 i wear when i rotate our 4 deep freezers ❤
Those hard sided grociery containters with the handles work really well in these deep freezers and take up less room than those milk crates and way easier to move them around to get to what is below
Wow!!!! So beautiful
Beautiful, thank you for sharing! Soldier’s Pass is one of my favorite hikes in the area. The boys and I recently backpacked West Fork, another favorite.
@@rvtech101 West Fork was on our list but we ran out of time this trip! Hopefully next one. It is such a beautiful area!
@@TheKoppSquadHope your family had a great visit. We are fortunate enough to live an hour and a half away and the Grand Canyon is not much farther. We frequently hike both areas. I would absolutely suggest West Fork next trip.
I use shopping tote bags with handles in the deep freezer. Makes it easier for me ! And a grab stick to reach the bottom. Also have a grab stick for the washing machine, to short to reach the bottom of it too😅
@@ireneferrante2313 that’s a great idea actually!! Short people problems :)
Thank you for sharing! What shed is that? Looking to get something like this for chickens!
@@jennifers.handmakes.customs it is just a locally made shed 8x10 then we added the nesting boxes and roosting bars
Waking up at 5:30 go to the airport hits different
@@ash.fin11 it sure does!
Good video. Amazing: thanks!
I love that feeling
I’m thinking once I buy a house for my kids and I, that I will buy a 1/2 cow and a pig. We rent right now. No place to put another deep freeze. We have an upright 7 cubic foot and a chest freezer 7 cubic foot. When we have room for a bigger one, I plan to stock us up.
@@kikomartin-pr it’s so convenient to just walk to out garage a basically go grocery shopping!
@@TheKoppSquadAbsolutely,the easiest shopping trips
Interesting! I never knew that it comes all portioned out if you buy a half. It’s well worth it. I assume I would have to look into local farmers if I want some, right?
Local farmers or a lot of butcher shops sell large portions of meat. It’s a large expense up front but cost saving in the end!
So after they poop and all that you got double the amount of being able to use it as compost because you know a chicken poop is good for compost and so is coffee grounds too so what a deal
Exactly!!
Interesting.We do the same here….Awesome video,watching here from Canada!❤
Thank you and thanks for watching!! 😊
Hope you have some power backup for a major power failure.
@@TheStuppets yes we learned that the hard way!!
Do you use the chicken poop as fertilizer?
Yes I do! It makes great fertilizer!
How many chickens do you have , I gave 12 and I hatched them out the incubator in August
I have 20 laying hens then we usually raise 10 meat birds a year. Hatching chicks is so fun!
Do you buy your meat in bulk?? What else are you doing to save money on groceries right now?!
Allergies are usually some thing that the body is trying to combat. Tissue Salts are natural, non addictive and work well, Try them. Due to dust allergies we don't have carpets at all. We have tiles in the general areas and laminated wooden floors in the bedrooms. Oh my word, I love your mixing bowl where do I get that?
Thank you! I have never heard of the cell salts. I did some research on them and they definitely look interesting. I am going to try them. Thank you for the recommendation! My mixing bowl is an antique from my grandmother and I have a Bosch stand mixer!!
Beautiful place Beautiful song the right song is like smoking a joint or having a drink of jack Daniel's it just has a way putting youer mind in heart ❤️ at ez
✨Manifest✨
Thats my kind of camping! Bloody Marys in the morning, chili and cheap beer at night. 🍻.
@@GreenAcresRV yes the perfect combo!
We would LOVE to hear your suggestions on some new campgrounds to check out next year! Post them below!! 👇
I’m used to beef, the only other big animal meat I had was elk in chili but when I saw you cut into the venison I was like that’s not raw? And was genuinely confused for a second
Its always amazing to watch the simple minded common folk cook. Onions in a plastic bag? Interesting! Pushing the knife through the fork prongs to cut the parasite filled deer meat? How novel! The minds of the PanAmerican neo-peasantry must be measured to the fullest ability of our current instruments!
Those looked amazing when cutting into them!
@@BrandonS_1991 they were soo good!
Can anyone else not say Worcestershire sauce?! 😂
I say it like warstashire
