UP is UP Enduro
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 6 ธ.ค. 2012
My name is Alex Grace. My current obsession is Dirt Bikes. I go to as many XC races and Hard Enduros as I can and upload my videos to the channel. Ive been riding for about 3 years and loving it. Sometimes I make it sometimes I don’t, it may not look pretty, but at the end of the day, UP is UP!
Cold Day at the Saddle
Second ride of the year at saddleback. Wind chill of 4 🥶. Changed gearing from 12/51 to 13/52. Gave me a bit taller 2nd and usable 1st. Lucioli at 4 psi and en91ex did great in the morning but once it started to thaw it struggled in the mud. Justin ran a stanard 91 with 285 bib and was hooking up all day but was on a new bike so it doesn’t count.

How To Fix a Bent 2-Stroke Pipe
มุมมอง 6K2 ปีที่แล้ว
If you ride a 2-stroke chances are you’ve had a pipe look like this. I’ve found a pretty simple way to straiten the header using a common scissor-jack. If you try this do so at you own risk. I’m no mechanic, I’m just cheap! See you on the trail! 🤙

A few clips from our annual Redbird trip. My GoPro has given me a lot of trouble lately. We rode for 2 days and almost all of day 1 footage was corrupted and it would only record half the time for day 2. @hardenduroappalacia will have a better edit of the weekend in a few days.

Quick edit of kxcr round 3. Ran open B and finished 37/60 overall and 11/17 in class. Played it pretty safe since the last race I did I blew out my knee.
Racing Silver Class as a Bronze Rider | What I learned | SEER Nightmare Extreme 2021 | Commentary
มุมมอง 4323 ปีที่แล้ว
My first time racing in silver class at the SEER Nightmare Extreme. I got way more than I bargained for. It was the hardest race I’ve ever done. I pushed my body and my skills to the limit. I have a long way to go before I feel confident enough to try silver again but I learned a lot and had a blast racing in the dark (the GoPro died before the night footage). See you all in WV in a month!
Bootlegger Extreme | Towing Out the Sherco

The worst race (weekend) ever. Actually it was a super fun weekend with great people just a few mishaps along the way. The Sherco did not survive the race. Thank you to everyone who helped and shoutout to my buddy Tim from @Hardenduroappalachia for finding me at the end and getting me out. Cant wait to get some redemption at the next one!

Rockhouse Trail 151 | Full Trail Forwards and Backwards | Hatfield McCoy

Tim and I check out trail 151 of Rockhouse, part of the Hatfield McCoy trail system. We parked at the RH trailhead right outside the town of Man. We rode 188, 130 and 199 to connect to 199 and had a blast so far. In my opinion, 151 is just as difficult at Buffalo Mountain 199, 198 and 195. It definitely deserves a higher ranking than 151. It had some gnarly spots! Another trail that needs reran...

Tim and I head back to Hatfield McCoy trail system, this time to Rockhouse to explore its less-discussed trail 199. We had ridden Buffalo Mountain 199 twice before this but this was our first ride at RH. RH 199 is way gnarlier than BM. The gnarliest single track we’ve ever done. It was an awesome day and an awesome ride. This video is the entire 199 trail going forwards and backwards with a few...

Been looking for a video on how to remove them. Can't find it anywhere. I guess I'll whatch this video backwards
Looks less sketch going up (backwards) than it did coming down!
Thank you! This is a great technique.
Any chance someone knows the screw size to tighten down the rack onto the factory points?
Thank you. I have had my 2011 Subaru imprezza wagon aince new, 196000, and going strong, I will never sell this car!
looks so fkn fun
Thanks for sharing this. I’d not thought about doing it this way. Iv got the blow out kit and was hoping it would pull straight. Just been and tried this way. Works great 👍
This is great. Thanks man. Most of the other videos focus on fixing the dents, which isn't the real issue if you're dropping your bike often.
Trail of tears..
Hey bro which tune did you choose on the accessport? I have the exact intake and Cobb support wouldn't help me find the.right one because the intake is not one of theirs and they claim the accessport tunes on it will not work for this set up which i know is BS. Sorry i know this is an old video but not many videos have my exact set up. Thank you
great riding you two .......
Thank you!
Very ingenious!
Thanks man. Awesome video, straight to the point and simple.
Does it affect mpg ?
You are awesome!!! Saved me getting a new pipe.. I couldn't get it to stay in my vice to heat and pull apart. This was so much simpler!!
Dude thank you so much... Worked perfectly!
Thankfully its just two stroke so no biggie lol :D
I have the same problem on my Sherco right now.
It's a two stroke, no oil reservoir to mess up gentleman
Ya
It still wouldn’t be good for the motor I would at least let it air out with out the spark plug
For you bunch of crazies saying he needs to drain it, this is a two stroke where you mix gas and oil together. This thing has no internal oil reservoir.
The transmission does
@@brettkelly9440 transmission in this thing is more than likely sealed as again its a 2 stroke
I have to agree with you on that one Just think how much water Is in there with the oil I hope he changes it when he gets home
2 strokes mix the oil with the gas so no problem with water in the oil
I definitely would’ve taken the oil out before trying to start it. Remember you cannot compress a liquid! I just feel it’s cheaper and safer to drain the oil, then rebuild the engine.
I mean you shouldn’t have to rebuild it but I would definitely take the spark plug out and put a heat gun on there running it immediately like that after getting flooded is hard on them takes hours right off
@@thefarm1201 what I mean is if water is somehow in the cylinder you could Hydro lock the engine. But yes, one of my buddies ATVs had rolled over in a stream. We pull the spark plug, drain the oil and tipped it a couple different directions to verify all water is out of it.
Can't drain the oil on a 2 stroke lol
@@xxbryton5376 Every 2-Stroke I’ve owned has Gear oil. Currently owning a 2001 Yamaha Banshee since 2014. I’ve used Bel-Ray Gear saver in my crankcase since I’ve owned it. The pre-mix is 32:1 of 93 octane / Super-M. Engine still never rebuilt / great compression 🤨
You gonna do all that on the trail? Dude came to ride lol
Cool !
199 Rockhouse couldn't hold 199 Buffalo Mountain's jockstrap
you should not be able to see the 2nd o ring of pipe or it is not all the way installed
It's awesome that you included your struggles. Most would have just cut them out. Good job on 4th in class!
Sick video. Where you guys out of?
Holy crap man! I would ride this on my DH bike maybe but still would be scared but no way I'd touch some of those downhills on my 400 at least not until I do more of the single black diamond trails at Hatfield and master those.
Would have never thought to do it that way! Thanks going to go work on mine right now.
Haha amazing we just did it 2 days ago! I agree, 199 Rockhouse is more difficult than 199 Buffalo, IMHO.
ᵖʳᵒᵐᵒˢᵐ 😌
I just bought a 22 ktm 500 exc enduro. I've had 5 street bikes. Dirt is a different animal.
Rode this yesterday on a Beta 430. Big mistake! We made it but Damn!!
Is this the proper way to break in a new bike? Asking for a friend
Had some friends ride this past weekend. They directed me here. Killer shit. Way out of my league. Thanks for posting this.
Finger tight on the threaded wing nut bolts or did you wrench on them?
Dam you did have to come back the way you come
You are committed there if you would turn back they be no way to come from the other way be crazy good stuff
did you get rid of your Sherco? Noticed in the last couple of videos, you were back on the KTM
I’ve had very bad luck with the sherco. Almost everything electrical failed since I bought it in February. It’s been at the dealer for warranty work for the last couple months. Regulator, cdi, wiring harness and starter all failed on separate rides. Been a real bummer but hopefully it’s fixed now and I can ride it.
@@upisupenduro7451 I hate to hear that, good thing you didn’t sell your KTM. Do you think you’d recommend a Sherco still? I’m in the market for a new bike in the spring and I’m torn between the Sherco and the KTM. Don’t know if I’m sold on the TPI just yet. My buddy has a 2021 and that thing sips the oil which makes me wonder.
@@Hardrakk187 it’s the most badass bike I’ve ever ridden. Everytime I ride it I fall in love with it.
I was actually looking at taking the roof rack installed on my 2011 OBS *off*, and I think this video just put my mind at ease. I heard on one forum that it was a process of taking off the headliner, unbolting 6 bolts on each side, welding and more. This is much easier.
I read that thread as well! I’m going to remove mine for sure now, since you actually don’t need to remove the liner.
Honestly, same. I was debating it for about 6 months, but now, this helped so much!
Cleared that first slick hill pretty good considering traffic. What tire were you running?
Was on a kenda ibex with a super drilled out moose bib. Was horrible on the corners but great on the hills.
Thanks for sharing...that Pm course was brutal!!
sound bites on point.... glad I could be such an influential character in this story LOL!
For the record I wasn’t calling you a dumbass lol I took the high line 3 times in a row instead of turning right 😆 Had to throw my bike off the drop off 3 times.
@@upisupenduro7451 lmao, that wasn’t me 🤣
Nice edit! It's cool finding a channel that does not take everything soo cereal-isly...
@@upisupenduro7451 0:50
Great job on the video as always! Way to put it out there in the Silver class. There is no explaining it to someone that hasn't been to one of these races. Nice job!
Thanks man. This stuff is next level for sure.
Great video, enjoyed the commentary. That stuff looked gnarly.
Thanks for watching. It was the gnarliest race yet. 🤙
This stuff is intimidating for sure. Are you going to doore races in silver now?
Tim will move up next season. I’ll probably be in bronze for another year. I just don’t have the skill set yet. But at least I know what I need to work on.
which way is harder?
Backwards is 10x harder. Starting from 151 and ending 199. It’s all uphill. Forwards has some tricky spots but is almost all downhill.
@@upisupenduro7451 hmmm. ill try both sometime and probably agree
Where is that at in trials training center
What’s your thoughts on the Sherco compared to the KTM? Now that you’ve had some time on the Sherco, do you think it’s a better bike or would you say they are comparable. Just wondering what you like and don’t like about the Sherco compared to the KTM.
Hey Chris. I’m gonna make a full video soon but the sherco is lighter, feels smaller and slimmer, easier to pick up, easier to get the front wheel up. It’s awesome. The ktm is wayyyy smoother (vibration), Bette power delivery (tpi) and easier to climb with( can get over the bars easier). Mixing gas and messing with a carb is a pain on the sherco but damn is it a fun bike. I think for 90% of people the ktm is a better bike but I have more fun on the sherco.
