Part three: spraying and reinstalling the rear bumper on this SVT cobra !
I removed the rear bumper in the previous video, and in this video I am prepping re-base/clearing the cover. I had a few runs and some dust nibs which is to be expected doing it this way, but the overall result was pretty good. Customer will be coming back in a month or so to have more finish work done to the rear bumper and then ceramic coated.

Final part: the reveal of the SVT Cobra

Final part: the before and after of the SVT cobra exterior. After about 40 hours spent on this cobra we have restored it to a lovable condition that the customers can enjoy if you were to take this to a body shop and have it repainted correctly it would cost at least $10,000. Careful sanding and skilled paint correction I was able to restore 98% of the finish at a fraction of the cost, includin...

Why wipe on clear coats have a place in Auto Detailing!

There are a lot of really bad wipe on clear coats out there for consumers to invest in. I just happen to be friends with the owner of a company called Snake Oil. I’m not sure about this coating but I’d be careful about spraying coatings if you don’t know whether or not they are fluorinated. PFAS and other fluoropolymer byproducts don’t need to appear on SDS right now but they will soon the way things are looking. Extremely persistent when ingested or absorbed through eyes etc. and strongly linked to multiple types of cancers and autoimmune diseases. Something to think about if doing it regularly.

This is a preliminary step, I do it dry to remove debris first, then use the injection tank. I use the velocity vac now, it's much easier and less messy. Fluid removal is easy, use a Mf towel and a vacuum with an extractor tip to remove any deeper moisture. Run heat with a/c on to pull humidity from rugs.
