Mags are by far the worst mbt's in the game, especially with the new mbt main weapons update. The ONLY thing mags have is mobility. And yes, if you use it to its fullest, it can be good. The reality is that you have to be a good driver to make mags amazing, and that's just skill my friend.

Vanguard best tank Prowler second best Magrider third Lowest armor, lowest speed, lowest damage, it has turbo. In a straight 1v1 loses against a lighting Average kid on PS2: "OPPPP!"

He respects the Vanguard more, and for good reason. Prowlers and lightnings are just pinatas to him.

Yep, lets just ignore the Kingsnake basically having +200% DPS compared to the Perihelion. All it takes is a top tier Maggie driver and anyone can make the Perihelion work as you dodge enemy shots that will kill you twice as fast, easy!

It has the worst reload and projectile speed of any magrider tank round, what are you talking about? You have to be an incredible driver to be good at it. If you miss that charge shot against a good prowler, you're basically dead unless you're the vid poster

I don't know what to tell y'all other than you suck if you can't get the Perihelion to work on the Magrider as it stands currently. Since you can indefinitely hold the charge, you have an almost instant delete MBT charge ready to shoot at all times, at this point you should have already won. That doesn't mean you can take a frontal assault against a Vanguard with shield up, you're still a Magrider, your job is to use your ability to go anywhere and flank (gank) vehicles. Perihelion is perfect for this as, whenever you peek a corner, you're able to chunk them for 3/4th Hp (with top gunner ofc).

This is coming from someone who has both fought plenty of Perihelion Magriders, as it is by far the most used VS front gun as of late (people finally starting to see it's strength which is kinda rediculous that it took this long in the first place) and from someone who has played it himself a lot (I have a VS char and it was the easiest time I've ever had playing Magrider.

@@kiro3779 Perihelion does 2139 damage to the front of a tank, then it takes ~8 seconds to charge the next burst. Halberd does 720 damage to the front of a tank, even if we combine 3 Halberd shots(how many it can fire before the Peri has charged again) + the burst it only comes out to 4299 damage. A Lightning with Fire Suppression would survive that. The Perihelion DPS after its initial burst is abysmal, around 267. 2 upgraded repair tools repairs for 334 health per second... thats how abysmal the Perihelion DPS is, it is our repaired by 2 engineers. As a short comparison: Perihelion takes ~8 seconds to reload and charge a burst doing 2139 damage(tank front armor). DPS 267. Kingsnake takes ~4 seconds to reload and fire a burst doing 2100 damage. DPS 525. Not even using Barrage yet... which would be like 700 DPS. So a Magrider with Peri + Halberd would still take around 8 seconds to kill a Prowler while a Kingsnake + Halberd can actually kill a Magrider in ~3 seconds. Which of these do you feel is more instant death? The Peri, hilarious.

Pretty good, everything i wanted close range related but i hate how it promotes long range hill camping

@@dreadnaught927 After trying it, yeh. Sniping static targets at range was the only effective thing I found with it. It's long reload plus recharge meant it was useless up close.

Yea would be nice but i don't mind the charge much, you get used to timing it before entering a fight instead of holding it for too long

For AV (rival - multidirectional exhaust - recharge - FPC and halberd/saron depending on the gunner). For AI when there is little room for dodging (rival - flanker armor - fire suppression - VPC and PPA/kobalt or aphelion depending on the gunner) If there is an open area to move around i use the AV just change the cannons to the AI ones. For AA if i know i will be chasing i use racer, if iam gonna play on top of mountains/high ground and jump after them when they go low i used rival for the increased mid air control and almost always use ranger, only use walker if you wanna tickle air sadly, that's about it.

Needs high skill ceiling to do that... I haven't seen many magriders being used like this except for a handful
