Hi Patricia, they are still in the design phase which will be completed this year. Construction is expected to start within two years. They added more parking spaces (nearly 50% of the space) to accommodate the city’s growth.

First off thank you to your husband for his military service! We get to enjoy our freedom because of brave Americans like him. It is unfortunate that insurance premiums are skyrocketing and it is harder to obtain homeowners insurance especially on older homes. There is reform coming to the insurance industry. In the meantime check with your local insurance brokers for "A" rated carriers. Citizens Insurance should be used as a last resort if that is your only option. Good luck and let us know if we can help with anything.

Hopefully one day it will return to its former glory. We helped a handful of buyers relocate from SF to Orlando.

To your comment about the Diesel Locomotives on each end of every trainset being very efficient, not really. Diesels still burn diesel fuel. What would have been truly efficient would have been electrification of the entire Brightline route AND having a dedicated right-of-way with full grade separation. Almost every High Speed Rail operation anywhere in the world is electrified and most all are fully grade-separated.

@@RobertSmith-wf9te yes I agree that full grade separation and electrification is ideal, but brightline is a private entity that has to recoup their investment. This is a good first step, and those improvements can come later on when the business model is proven.

@@RobertSmith-wf9te you got a remember that brightline is competing against the private automobile and commercial aviation; both of which are vastly less efficient than a diesel locomotive.

Hi Veda, There will be two stops for Brightline in Central Florida. Orlando International Airport and International Drive. They were planning on doing a stop at Disney World but that is no longer happening.
