Not really. Tbh I think Quagmire's whole gripe with Brian is not because he is a POS, but because he doesn't acknowledge it. Quagmire is a POS and he's aware of that. He doesn't outwardly judge people or society for their ways, instead time and time again he has been observed encouraging people to be who they are. He's also a pilot who's doing well for himself yet he is very down to earth and gives to charity whenever he can. His whole deal is that he knows he has problems and he does questionable things, but at least he is real. Unlike Brian, who always projects himself as being better than everyone else and tries to act like an intelectual universty lecturer because he is an athiest with liberal philosophies. But in reality he doesn't work anywhere and isn't even talented at writing, yet he always remains so smug and narcissistic. But in reality he is talented in other regards, he did wright a successful self help guide, he directed a critically acclaimed p*rno film and had many oddjobs thathe did well but none of that fits in his narrative as how he sees himself so he does nothing. In reality he is a spoilt selfish POS who blames society for everything that goes wrong with him, though he has a family and friends that always supports him and doesn't need to grind for anything. Quagmire hates Brian because he isn't real. Not with himself nor anyone else.

I think the reason why Brian doesn’t fight back is because this moment was meant to be poignant, and he needed to hear that. Sad that he doesn’t make any effort to change, though.

@W31rdJ416n He technically got his revenge three times. One: He dated Sheryl, who was Quagmire's love interest. Two: He tried to be Quagmire's dad. Three: He helped Quagmire get in a relationship which ended up with Quagmire being driven crazy by a pack of dogs, and then Quagmire got stampeded by the same pack of dogs.

@W31rdJ416n Well, to be fair, in a lot of his episodes, he feels remorse for most of his actions, and ends up doing the right thing. Of course, he's still a big jerk at times, so maybe there's no point defending him.
