Sounds great, except you can't record 4k, only 1080p. The only people who would go to this type of device are professional users and professional users are not going to accept that limitation in 2024.

Nice coverage. I really like the M.2 handle. Even though I think the next gen of DSLR's will have internal M.2 slots or SSD's, that handle is one of the least obtrusive ways for run-and-gun high-bitrate recording. And someone needed to compete with the Blue Condor handle. Did you see any others there?

I like the idea of this but I wonder why they would recess the cable and leave the card exposed?

Yo PLEASE more anamorphic lens content! I’m total DYI’r and have been scope and kowa glass with vintage and newer manual (Amazon) glass for taking lenses. The results are totally cinematic and dope and I love them! Help share your DP knowledge with the rest of us hobbyist trying to make good content in fromt of the masses…. 😮

Nice works guys! You mentioned 2.39:1 but you were showing footage shot with a 16:9 sensor instead of using the 6:5 readout. Which funny enough really only blackmagic Camera do natively. 4:3 and 3:2 need to crop heavily to achieve 2.39:1 when using a 2x anamorphic.

I have been a customer of Videoguys for sometime, good to see you are recommending gear you have tested. I have 3 EZCap devices and it appears none are now working . As with a professional video Business I have converted in the region of several hundred VHS recordings to either DVDs or hdds , the former via the 3 NEC, JVC, or Panasonic recorders, each of which do not have facilities for USB or SD card or external hdd outputs, this now being a nuisance in having to utilise computers. It would appear from your TH-cam presentation that you have the product I need. Would you please comment and advise if I can order the more suitable unit (forgotten the model.) i have purchased wireless go 2 charging case i have some question's for u what happens when the mic battery is full..?? does it stop charging thr mic anf auto shut off that particular mic charging process... or doest it continue to charge the micand the mic led stays on?? with my cases, everything seems to stay on (blue lights stop blinking but stay solid blue, and on the receiver, the display is still on, showing a full battery icon. Doesn't seem to be right... i have purchased rode wireless go 2 ... need to update charging case ???

It Needs this improvement soon: The Rode Mobile ipad app should have all the functions as the desktop app.

Rode really stepped their game up with at 32-bit floating and timecode feature. Great review on the features, but I wish you could have shown the visual applications and demonstrations of the things you were saying, such as visually showing the locking connectors and how it works, and other features you talked about as well. I'm a visual guy, so it connects with me more when I can see the applications along with what is being said. Please forgive me for anything I said that was offensive in any way.

Potentially you guys should use them, hard to hear you.

I can't wait to try it. I have the original Wireless GO which the microphone of the transmitter I can't say covers me in terms of speech quality.

With the time code feature, are these units able to sync time code from a "master time code" device such as tenticle sync or Deity TC-1? Or can other devices sync their TC from the Rode units?

I've been hoping for 2 years that the next Wireless Go generation would get true 32 bit float and eventually built-in time code. Finally it's here and the many different time code modes sound very well thought out and cover almost all wishes. However, I have to ask myself whether it is possible to change the time code mode during operation? So in time code mode 5, can you jam sync cameras with time code input or other external time code generators and then switch to another time code mode so you can control the sound of the transmitters while recording?

It looks incredible! Thank you for showing everything that comes in the box on your table. It's great to know that there is a USB-C to Lightning connector for iPhones.

You're the first review video I've seen. This is awesome! I already pre-ordered a few hours ago. Only 2 huge requests in future firmware updates that would put this at the top: 1) Tascam DR-10L Pro records to the same file every 20 seconds in case something happens while recording - they should integrate that into the on board recording 2) Zoom F3 is the smallest mainstream recorder I know of that gives options for audio quality all the way up to max: Sample Rate: 192 kHz / Bit Depth: 32 Bit / Bit Rate: 320 kb/s

Is there a white version?

To be clear, I can use this microphone to live stream or as a house mic without latency while still recording in 33bit float?

Wauw. I got a lot of gear from Rode. Love it. Use it for podcasts. Have some sets for different options. Love to test this set. Its the smallest podcast set for occasions there is. You can even monitor it. Good work Rode.
