Did the very first commercial flight into this airfield,We flew from southend in a viscount.The weather was poor and the only approach aid was an NDB.We could not get in and diverted to Dublin for a night stop.We rescheduled for the following day and landed and the Captain had to pay the landing fee to the local priest.
