Something Casual Series [SCS004] with Melak
"Something Casual" stands for recording and filming sets with our guests and friends.
As a DJ and percussionist from Romania based in Bucharest, Melak carries a musical upbringing influenced by his father, a jazz pianist, and electronic sounds from artists like Aphex Twin, The Prodigy, Jeff Mills, and Carl Craig.
Embracing an enthusiasm for live instruments, he studied percussion at the music university in Cluj-Napoca. Starting as a drum and base DJ in the early 2000s, he later ventured into house, micro-house, and techno, inspired by Romania’s thriving electronic music scene.
