Hello, here is my review of the Santa Cruz Heckler SL - SL meaning super light. the bike is made of a carbon frame, which makes the whole bike weigh around 19kg. Check out my other bike reviews in the playlist below: th-cam.com/video/axWIxXnLj20/w-d-xo.html

Santa Cruz Tallboy V5 - The 'Do-It-All' Mountain Bike
มุมมอง 5672 หลายเดือนก่อน
Hi, this is my review of the Santa Cruz Tallboy V5. I rode a large size last year, so this year I wanted to try the medium frame. I really like this bike and it will be the next bike I purchase. Video Conclusion (did not record properly for some reason): I think this bike is perfect for those who ride long distances and like to shred trail centres too; or perhaps those who have a big DH or endu...

Summer conditions in October at Dalby Forest!
your local trails look awesome
They did until they were demolished this week since the land was sold to a non mtber 😢
Never seen this color tallboy before. Am I missing something?
Been out for a while (2023 colour), tallboy v5 matte taupe colour. There’s new colours out now though - gloss melon and gloss white
First time seeing and riding the drop, I got it clean the next time!
I built that one a while back now (not very well) it’s fallen down somemore though
@@harryc-c2324 cool, a few locals showed me it the other day, along with a few other trails around there - can't believe I have not found them before
Ik the camera makes that look smaller but I bet it took some doing good job
Thanks, done the drop before quite a few times, I first did it earlier this year! :)
How Tall are you?
5,10” I was riding a medium in this video - but I like riding both medium and large bikes :)
Love the bite, but man I hate how loud the hub is
You can get quieter hubs on my own bikes I have some loud hubs some quiet ones depends what mood I’m in that day. Cheers for watching :)
I was leaning towards the high tower, but now I’m torn because I’ve ridden the tall boy as well. I think it probably suits me. My average speed is under 12 miles an hour.
I’ve got a Hightower and wish I’d got the tallboy, going to swap my frame to a tallboy as I love how light and stiff it is. It climbs way better than the Hightower. Hightower is too heavy and too much travel for me, but glad I’ve experienced it and owned for a year. I race enduro but prefer the tallboy as it’s really fast and light I think its plenty capable for that
How many motors have you gone through? From what I read it’s a dreadfully unreliable bike.
It’s not my bike, if you watch the whole video you’d now it’s a demo bike. Personally I don’t like to ride e bikes, just wanted to test this as it’s a lightweight one
Hey man that looks sick
Are the trails easy enough to find?
Hi, thanks for your comment. This is the red trail at boltby forest (it’s a 2 way trail) If you park at the top of the hill near a big High Paridise farm sign at the 4 way junction, you follow the track straight until you get to the red paradise trail sign and take a left when you get to the gate. The trail is on Trailforks also. Hope this helps!
@@connorcampbell144 thanks will look out for it
Sick Man! I just bought a 2010 begining of the week. Looking foward to build it
Thanks, would like to see yours when it’s built up!
Go Conner Go Conner 👍🏻 Keep raising that bar man!!!
Thanks!
Raced 2 years of downhill on one of these when I was a kid, still miss this bike immensely
Yeah it’s a great bike! My frame maybe up for sale soon as I’m going to start uni in September and need some more funds :)
Tengo la suerte de tener una de estás, es muy buena bicicleta, pensé en venderla pero he cambiado de opinión.
Nice riding
Thanks!
Do you have any postcodes or cordinates for the locations thanks
HG2 8NZ for hookstone woods (behind show ground), dm on Instagram @connor_campbell144 for the other spot as it’s not an official trail spot. Hope this helps
I just picked up a DJI Osmo Action 4 for so biking stuff when we go out. How do you like the GoPro? I’m thinking about grabbing an action cam gimbal for mine.
The stabilisation on GoPro is much better I find - I have a hero 8 black with the media mod microphone. You can also plug an external mic into the media mod, which I need to try
Where are the locations of the places in the video and are they near Harrogate
Near pannal, not far from Harrogate 👍
Oh and Knaresborough - if your local I could show you round if you like :)
Keep shredding
Thank you :)
👏
Thanks!
Nice little pedal mate... Is that a whole pump track / jump line where you set up the drop cam?
Yeah, that’s a local one that was built in 2018/19 in knaresborough. Great fun
Nice one mate... Bit messy in the slop, but I bet that trail is fun when it's running dry!! :D
Thanks :)
Absolutely enjoyed watching your adventure in Greno Woods! It's great to see the community coming together to help each other improve. I can relate to the struggle with small jumps versus big drops; it's a unique challenge for sure. Keep up the practice, your progress is inspiring. Can't wait to see where this journey takes you. Subscribed for more!
Thanks 🙏 I usually post a video every Wednesday, got some more cool vids coming soon :)
class riding
Thanks :) slowly getting better
Love stainburn, what camera are you using when at the bottom of the slopes?
GoPro hero 8 black for POV, and my iPhone 12 mini for side shots (I didn’t colour grade them as been super busy this week). Be sure to subscribe for some more videos coming soon :)
clean
Thanks :)
Nice 👌🏻
Thanks 🙏
Great fun Leeds Urban isn’t it, visited it myself couple of times in last month, my son loves the jumps there. Not ventured into the woods yet but we will when we go again.
Yeah it’s quite fun, great to meet new people there. Lots of fun doubles in the woods. Please consider subscribing :)
Brilliant!
Thanks 🙏
Nice work buds!! Shredding!!!!💥
Appreciate it!!
Was definetely an intentional nose bonk
Like to think it was 🤣😉
Have you got a location in Harrogate for or post code ?? 👍
Hookstone woods in Harrogate 👍 I’ll try find coordinates for you
53.98173° N, 1.51398° W that’s pretty much where it is. Behind the school, you get to it from a path off hookstone wood road
Nice to see the Konas in action. [Jon]
Thanks for watching! I’ve got a few videos on my channel of all sorts of Kona’s you could check out if you get time 😁
Yeah. That's my 2017 Kona Stinky 26 that I built up last year. It's great.
Great stuff 👏
Thanks
You got maximum air well done
Thanks, just a small little roller at the local I like to jump :) check out some of my most recent videos to see bigger jumps and drops
Wooow
Cool build. It's nice to see another one of these bikes back in use and being enjoyed. I'm a huge fan of the 2000s freeride bikes. Are they heavy?... yes. But, they are so much fun to ride and have so much character. I hope to see a ride review video.
Thanks for your comment! My kona roast is quite light at 12.2kg - there will be a review/first ride video soon - so please subscribe so you don’t miss that. I also have a bunch of videos of old school bikes on my channel.
Check out the full vid on my channel!
This clip is from 2 years ago, and I was amazed at how good it felt to bunny hop this size ⛰️ 🚵🏻
Nice. Have u got a komoot route 4 this. Been up there few times with the dog but didn’t recognise these bits
Hi Mark, I don’t have a komoot route for these as I just know where they are - I can give you the Trailforks location/coordinates if that helps
So here are the coordinates: 53.97838° N, 1.73392° W Here’s a 4 mile loop that includes most of the trails (including the one I rode in this video) I found on Komoot after a little search: www.komoot.com/tour/1366808775?ref=itd&share_token=aHU6wrEG4a1ZEVQ49lKh5N54a4f8bNdvd6dJmgDEG2PoD9gDJX&ref=its Hope this helps, please consider subscribing if you haven’t already :)
@connorcampbell144 that's brilliant thanks u I'll give that s shot. Very kind. Yep no problem subscribing 👍
@@marktownend3782thanks 🙏
Yes I know I came up short, but found it hard to get the speed for this jump at dalby as I was in my highest gear down the roll in - probably needed to pop more
Mint berm ❤
It even rides well in winter 😁
You have to pull the handle bars up when you ramp
No you don’t. (I was struggling this day as my brake wasn’t working too well so I wasn’t jumping correctly). You go into the jump in the attack crouch position, then compress your suspension, then straighten your arms, and then your legs and front wheel leaves first and back wheel leaves at the top of the lip, then you push the bike into the landing and pump the land absorbing the impact but keeping speed
Making sure legs are straight once on the take off
P r o m o s m
Explain?
🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thanks 🙏
