    Just got mine today for $129 and I love it. Like you I started with drill/1/4 impact at Lowe’s and didn’t want to add another platform. Got the angle grinder to for $59.99. 3/8 ratchet is next.

      Awesome. The only thing I got in this series that I didn’t like was the job site radio. Small, high treble/no base, and didn’t act as a charger like most job site radios. I wish they would come out with the palm router. Thanks for watching

    Hey thanks for making this video! It's literally the only video I can find on these things. Is this the mid torque (PCCF920M1) or the high torque (PCCF940M1)? By what you paid I'm guessing mid. Was the high available before? Do you find yourself wishing it had more torque?

It was a kit that was on sale many years ago for like $300. Still use the tools today. Never owned one myself, as my interests turned to VWs as my first drivers. Great to see your wonderful example of simpler times! Also, your reference to WLS jogged my memories. I got onto this system by getting a porter cable drill and then some Black and Decker stuff and Bostitch 18v (18v same as Porter Cable and B&D 20v Max) dirt cheap clearence. The Bostitch was a short lived Wal-Mart exclusive with Porter Cable internals. The batteries for those 3 sytems are interchangeable if you don't mind doing some slight mods with a dremel. For the B&D batteries to fit the Portle Cable or Bostitch, you need to cut part of the tool off on the battery area, which voids your warranty but doesn't effect the integrity of the tool. However to fit a Portle Cable battery to a Black & Decker tool is much easier. You simply have to cut a little plastic tab off in the battery area. If you find 20v Black and decker tools at yard sales and thrift stores, they are better than you might think. The little blower is super handy for sawdust and the lightweight drills are awesome for driving screws. That Porter Cable 5 1/2" circular saw is actually an identical clone of the Black & Decker. I believe the Recip saw is also a clone but I have not compared them side by side (I like to open my tools to see the internals...).

    • @steamboatmcg2197
      @steamboatmcg2197 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The discontinued Bostitch stuff only ever came in a Drill and Impact driver which have the same internals as your Porter Cable ones. It was labeled as 18v, which you may already know is the same as "20v Max". 18v is the working load. That whole 20v Max stuff was just a marketing gimmick started by Stanley Black & Decker (Dewalt)... So, Knowing that you can use your Porter Cable batteries in Black & Decker 20v tools by simply cutting one plastic tab in the tools battery attachment area (I use a sharp chisel to cut it) really expands your potential tool lineup to some degree.
