Such an inclusive, spiritually uplifting service.

Another enjoyable musing yet difficult for me with my hearing loss. As a musician it's been devastating to lose my hearing over the past 20 years. It took me until 4 years ago to positively recognize the problem after demanding friends 'turn up the telly' because I couldn't hear it. It was hard to judge at Christmas time when I played the organ for Giles whether it was too loud, too soft, or about right. I hate wearing hearing aids and often go without, much to the annoyance of friends, but alone at home I can have the TV, radio, or HiFi as loud as I want it. Conversation can be difficult and the sounds of nature are nowadays subdued a little. However in the stillness of the countryside I can still hear the birds sing and it's still a wonderful sound for which I thank God.

That was a deeply spiritual service. My grateful thanks to Nick, Matthew and all who contributed in making it so inclusive and ‘real’. I truly felt that I was there. God bless you.
