I've been a Beach House fan for a long time now and I'm glad I stumbled upon this treasure !
First
You may have not correctly set it up. Is your console PAL or NTSC?
ntsc. afaik the dev has said console compatibility isn't really a priority, maybe it works now? but i haven't tried more recent versions
AFAIK, no version of B3313 is kosher for a real N64, which is a shame. It does quite a few things that aren't allowed, to the point the latest version practically requires PJ64. Playing on a TV at night with friends could've been all kinds of fun, especially if you had someone to go in blind.
v0.8 works* (it boots and gets to the title screen but crashes when you try to start a save file) i heard it works on like the x5 or x7 everdrives but i dont have those
I can confirm that B3313 V0.8 does work on an Everdrive X3, though lots of slowdown on some areas and occasional crashes.

B3313 requires an expansion pak, did you use one? Edit: sounds like the amplified microwave meme but with corrupted sm64 music
yeah, i've got an expansion pak installed. i'll have to see if there's a more recent build that supports console cos it's been a lil bit

i tried it on everdrive x7, audio was about the same, couldnt get video. it also messed up the color channels of my n64 but that was probably from smacking the system off out of terror

it's in a box somewhere & I don't remember the brand or anything, but it's a fairly normal old cassette recorder that barely works. probably fairly easy to find in a thrift store or something
its a realistic unit. not sure the model tho. the reason it sounds so warbly is because the belts in the machine are deteriorating. a tape will also start to do that in its own after years of being played where the tape gets stretched out
